How about not deleting whole threads when one poster violates the ToS?
I respectfully disagree with this decision.
Edit: I just did a random sampling of other forums that are part of the overall forums.ea universe, and here are several that have dedicated off-topic sub-forums already up and running: EA Sports Forum, Battlefield 3, SimCity, and Scrabble. Scrabble, for corn's sake! Come on! What if we need to rumble with the gang from the Scrabble forum? How in the world are we ever going to get ourselves organized? We can't do that in one giant thread that risks being interrupted by random posts! I'm telling you now...we'll all rue the day that we're defeated by the Scrabble crew because we just couldn't communicate effectively. Mark my words!
A tread like this is highly needed now that you mods have deleted most off-topic threads. There should be one place we could just talk. If we keep most off-topic talk in one single thread, that should be easier to maintain than 50 off-topic threads daily. Wasn't that the reasoning behind the other off-topic thread, which actually got locked for some reason?
Anyway, I know you mods don't want too many sticky threads, but if we are going to have a single discussion off-topic thread, it should be stickied. I am sure there are atleast one of the already stickied threads at the time I'm writing this, that could be unstickied...
Shouldn't we be able to have a general off-topic discussion thread here?
That thread got created while I wrote the first post here... I got Ninja'd, isn't what you call it? Anyway, I suppose this thread should just get deleted (or merged in) then... ah, too bad I were just a tiny bit late Good thinking from the mods side!
I actually didn't refresh the browser after getting up today, so I started making this thread before refresh. That's my mistake... I see the thread has existed for some hours. Anyway, I'm glad the mods thought about this too Atleast until we get a subforum, this is the best solution.
You're going to have to start planning your 4,000 post celebration soon Skyrim. I remember once upon a time I had more posts than you.
