I'm not too picky on playing styles. You want to be a farmer & not even try to be creative? Fine. So long as you are actively playing & contributing. I have a few slots open right now from a recent purge. But if I am tying to visit you this weekend & your GOO count is still zero, you're outta there. Even given the 24 hour build for the Fortune Teller, after 5 days if you're not up to speed you are not active enough for me.

While weeding, it helped me to check when they'd last logged in. That's not definitive, but I was surprised that some hadn't logged in for a month. I keep a small list so that I can keep up, so..., wow. A few were just late starting, as was I, so I'm glad I gave those some time.
I deleted some and added some more. I'm at the 100 neighbor limit, but I'm still looking at removing some more, based on their activity or lack thereof over the next few days.
The thing is, many of my neighbors -- even the seemingly inactive ones, are upper-level, 30+, so they have been playing but seem to drop-off for whatever reason.
One thing I noticed is even though they are plenty, there are quite a few who don't seem to visit neighbors; at least I haven't seen notifications that they've been visiting me. Those are neighbors I have on the bubble.
I mean, sure I can still visit their Springfields and catch ghosts, but they should be doing the same in return. Some have started visiting with Halloween -- people I haven't seen visiting in a while -- so I hate to cut them right now; but, of course that's to their benefit in order to earn goo and catch ghosts. So, I'm kind of torn, if they will go right back to being non-visiting neighbors.

I thought about doing that, but I'm on IOS and there are some friends who are listed as not having TSTO and not having played in weeks or months, BUT, I've seen that they've visited me. So, I have to believe that log-in isn't always the best way to decide for myself. I'm assuming they're on Android or something and it's just not showing their towns in my friends list, even though I can see them in the neighborhood list and have been visiting them as well.
@ncblonde - yeah, that's my next step. I'm progressing pretty well with the event so I'm in no rush. Once I get rid of the people who are clearly not active in the event - zero GOO after 5 days - the next thing to do is start tracking friends. I'm a bit of a nut, so a spreadsheet will help me keep track of all my friends & their activity. I will do that for 5-7 days to see who visits and how often. Then more slots will open up again I am sure.
This will also help me make sure I am giving Gremlins to those who do the same to me.

Oh! Well, they hadn't started KL either, so hopefully I didn't jump the gun. Thanks for that info!!! I didn't know!

Hidely ho, neighborino.
I have someone on my (I assume) Android list who it says hasn't logged in in 36 months, but I know that they certainly have, so I know exactly what you mean.

LOL I hear ya. I wasn't going to go all technical and open a spreadsheet, but, I at least thought about writing down who has visited recently. Of course I know, for the most part, who are my regular visitors, but at least if someone is making an effort to visit during the events, it's good to know. I usually just hit up everyone on my list each day, town-by-town, but I have noticed there are some names I never see in my town, so that's like a one-way street.

It's hard to say. I have at least 1 person on my list who doesn't have Goo at all, or even the Squidport, but, they have Krustyland all built up, including premium items.
I wish they would fix up the friends list thing a bit and allow us to interact with people on other platforms a bit better, and perhaps list friends based on time of inactivity or something, so as to better help decide who is just not into the game that much.
Oh my god am I going to lose people because I haven't built my Squidport?
I'm at that level but I haven't brought the bit of sea or continued the quests as I've had a mass back log if quests suddenly and then Halloween arrived. Literally the day the Halloween update arrived I got chucked the Squidpirt, orange house, java server and the Springfield downs, then Halloween chucked me the gypsy house and therefore I'm a little quest behind and trying to do half a dozen things at once but want to focus on Halloween. I'm level 17 and I play several tunes every day. I feel it a little unfair to lose folk just because I don't have certain items :-(
I'll still keep you and pass along a little extra when I can. It has while month to go, you'll get there. Not everyone is like that. How many friends do you have so far? I have 70 right now and I think that should be more than enough. As long as neighbors are visiting that is.
I was getting ready to put some of my friends on a wait a see list (I hate to delete friends, even if I don't really know them, I am strange that way...) Anyway, I stubbled upon one friend who has no goo, but decorated his town for halloween and... has 2 grimlins in it  Is it possible? On Origin it says that he has not played for a month, but I am pretty sure he was not all decorated for halloween before ( I visit regurlarly, even without special event). Is it possible there is a bug and that for some friends we don't see the goo? By the way I checked and I am assuming we both are IOS user because he is not in my friends who are listed as none Simpsons gamers, since android have a tendency to be listed as not having the game. Your thoughts? Anyway, I am reloading my game on my Ipad just in case I have a bug.
i was going to use squidport as my starting point but then just went through and got rid of anyone who hadn't logged in in over 6 months. cleaned out a lot, but now nc blonde has me worried i should have checked more carefully! dang it.
I can't get over 81 neighbors. I read another thread that said look on the list for friends without tapped out and delete them to make room. Only issue is the first on on my list does have tapped out. I just dumped some gremlins in his yard. Guess I'll have to hunt down each one to figure out who I can delete.

That's exactly what I'm doing keeping a list and keeping track of who is visiting me and leaving gremlins so that I can put some in their SF as well. That GOO counter is huge to know whether they have started the update yet. I'm cutting more people tomorrow that haven't started the Halloween update based on the goo counter. Adding people from this forum is the best cause they get the need of great neighbors to succeed on these updates.
will be doing weeding tonight, anyone who hasn't started will be gone! ... i have 40 pending friend invites in my box.... so i think... i can replace them quickly.
I went through my friends list today and took out those that have not collected any goo, I go to every SF that I have on my list and haunt their buildings, while I may not be able to leave a gremlin this time, I make a list and I leave you one when I get one available, or buy one whichever comes first.
I am going to look through it again tonight to make sure I haven't missed anyone not active, but so far everyone is collecting goo and while everyone may not be coming to my SF I still have the opportunity to go to theirs and collect the goo from theres so it isn't a total loss....I do like my SF being haunted though and full of gremlins!!!
I apologise to my international neighbours but when I visit, yourgremlins seem to already be at the limit so I cant drop any not in every case and I drop when I can but please dont think less of me if you dont get my gremlins
