Goo doesn't save unless you tap on it?

I thought the same, I've not double checked but it must save or I wouldn't have as much goo as I've got.

I had wondered about this as well. I purposely left Goo and a Gremlin sitting there. Checked my count and hit the Bart/Millhouse button. They were NOT counted.

The worst thing I've noticed is that if you do your 3 haunts first and then your ghosts and the game loses connection or you leave, you lose it all. Basically I've gone into towns and done my 3 haunts and then lost the server, I try to revisit but it tells me to come back after 24hrs do I lost all 5 plus more ghost goo which seriously annoys me. Now I tap the ghosts first so I can't miss out.

The "come back in 24 hrs" message will appear after haunting the houses, but you can still go back into that town and pop your ghosts.

on topic, NO THESE DO NOT GET COUNTED, WAIT UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THE POPUP MESSAGE! It wont appear until all the cash/xp/goo/snakes/gremlins/eggs/donuts? have been auto-collected

I just tried it and it didn't save them??

I made a note of the amount of goo I had, popped 5 ghosts, then quickly left the town before they were collected, looked at the goo amount when I got back to my town and it hadn't gone up!

Try one more thing... I noticed this too. But when I exited the game and came back I think my count went up to where it was supposed to be.

Nothing is saved til it is collected and added to the counters, either by tapping or by allowing them to "auto collect".

Leaving the screen either by going to your other expansion, (krustyland) or back to Springfield, leaving one of the a-fore mentioned to visit neighbors, or leaving a neighbor with uncollected boooty, will see you loose any uncollected items. Not to mention missing out on the bonus XP offered by completing visiting a neighbors Springfield.

You get the missing goo, just not until you leave the neighborhoods screen and go back to your own Springfield. You should see a synchronizing message, and then they will be added to your total.
