as gremlins can be received and sent at any time of day with nearly no limit (apart from the 10 at a time thing) I randomly go round sending gremlins to me neighbors even if I can't haunt or pop ghosts there yet

I do this too. Even if the 24 hour timer for my friends list hasn't turned over yet, I might still be going in to drop more gremlins.

So if the other players picked up my hauntings earlier already and then later on see more gremlins from me but no new hauntings, all it means is I visited them more than once in the same 24 hour period.

    Exactly.

I double haunt because it's for the greater good. We're trying to get comm prizes and I want all the goo I can and so should all of you. I'm not going to hold your hand if I feel I can get us to the comm prizes faster. I'm also not going to restrict myself. We have to join together to collect these extremely high goo amount prizes and we shouldn't restrict or feel bad about doing whatever it takes.

Plus this whole pledge thing is ridiculous. Do whatever it takes to get there no matter what.

Stealing goo and disguising it 'for the greater good' is still stealing. Especially when you benefit from it.

As for myself, I did double haunt at first until I knew better. And yet, I still do it by accident, especially when the houses/buildings are close together.

Yes, but there is nothing wrong with doing it, Halloween event is every man for himself, you aren't stealing, they should have got there first, they have the opportunity to collect the goo but if they don't, I'm afraid I'll take it away. EA put it in for a reason, and I'm happy to use this action they gave us. If you snooze, you'll lose...

I don't know what all the Fuss is all about. This is a game and an event you put the effort in therefore you get more same goes to your neighbors. People that don't play or don't kill Gremlins within 4 hours the Gremlins disappear and you get 4 Goo for each because they didn't take the effort. It goes both ways. It's all fun.

That being said I used to do it before i knew and still do it, there's no harm, all part of the game. Most of all of my neighbor-eenos (mostly all forum members) are done getting 10,000+ Goo and most people are almost done. No one seems too beig on it at least i think  There is a almost a whole 3-4 weeks left for the event. Couple of Goos isn't hurting anyone. You guys getting too emotional over some GOO

Edit: Also I always leave Gremlins when I haunt which is all the time

This is nothing more than a terrible job at justification of you being a shower in France (google translate "shower") ). If you were half as smart as you're pretending to be with your fake greater good preaching, then you would know that the total community goo amount is the same whether you double haunt or let the owner clean the haunting and you haunt different things.

I know math is hard, but you're depriving the community total of nine goo every time you double-haunt.

So...by that rationale 'every man for himself'...if I see a bike just sitting out there by itself and no one is around I should just take it because its 'for the greater good' or 'I really want it.' The end does not justify the means.

With respect, I see what you're saying...and believe me, I want all of the community prizes...but I'd rather get there honestly.

'Id rather get there honestly', you sound like this is a crime, its simply: if you don't hurry up and de-haunt your houses, I'll do it for you. An it appears at least two of those quotes you pulled out aren't from me. Do you visit your neighbours every day off-event, no? Well you should be helping them get a bonus, that is just selfish...

(holy moly this is getting flammy  )

I get so fed up of the it's disgusting brigade, it is a game, it is there to do, if it were wrong then it would not be part of the game, for those that get their knickers in a twist over a game you really need to get a life.

I have more to worry me than whether I play the game how it is supposed to be played than become a nervous wreck in case I hit the wrong thing, if you don't want to play the game how the developers make it then play another game or develop one yourselves.

    That's LITERALLY my point.

It's the EXACT same whether you double haunt or not.

And since I want the community prizes. I double haunt because it makes no difference.

    Don't preach fake "honesty"

It's not "dishonest" to double haunt and in fact there's nothing terrible about it.

And I'm not taking that bike or the goo because I want it I'm taking it because WE NEED IT for the community prizes. It's not that it's mine and I'm stealing it for my goo total, I already have enough, I'm taking it because I want the meter to rise and for EVERYONE to get the Donut thing.

I won't double haunt anymore. I didn't stop to realize that it could be a bad thing. Wasn't trying to be selfish. Sorry neighbors. I'll do better!

same thing here. I have accidently done it a few times and I also try to send gremlins to them if they have room. I am making a real effort to avoid doing this anymore.

It's fairly easy to spot. If a neighbour only haunts one building they've clearly done it. I just get annoyed when someone's got to the ones I like to haunt (bad dream/nighthawk/Dutchman)
