I was in my twenties during a work hard / play hard phase and also didn't have a tv - well I did but it was broken and had been put to use as a plant stand. I did manage to catch episodes of the TU show every once in a while at friends' and being a fan of Life in Hell at the time, I loved the animated interludes.

Same here! I was out on my own and had a hard time keeping ramen in the house let alone something so extravagant as an appliance just for entertainment! I walked uphill to school both ways in the snow, and I had to share the only pair of shoes in the house with my 8 brothers and sisters.

OK, it wasn't quite that bad, but I did eat a lot of ramen and I didn't have a TV until after I got married.

I was in high school. I remember my brother, who was already married, coming over and saying I needed to watch this show, especially the cartoon parts.
