Soooo, I added a few friends the other day, from this thread. When I visit friends Sf, I look to see if they have a floating Squidport tile, and tap every one I find. But one person tapped mine in the past 24 hours. And I don't know how to find out who actually taps it.
I would be interested in adding more friends, if you are willing to tap my tile every day, and I'll tap yours.
I have several tile tapping neighbors who I would assume are all tapping it, because when I see they've been to my town they will sometimes hit two buildings but not a third.
But I have never had more than two handshakes showing (one being my own finished tile) so when my visitors tile tap and another one comes along and taps it cancelled out the others who tapped before.
So here's what I need help on,
I was told that if I hit that last handshake it will clear my tile and I will have to rebuild one again...
But then I was told that I have to hit the last handshake so it can reset for the other taps to show up and I can recieve them.
Anyone know which is right or what I should do???
Thanks.
Only tap the top one. However, this glitch is very glitchy. What's your build time on tiles? If it is less than 2 days, you may want to consider clearing all taps and starting over just to see if that helps.
But before you do that, try coordinating taps with a friend. They tap, then PM you, you clear the tile, and PM them for another tap.
I have room for a few more dedicated players who like to tap tiles. I should have more room soon as I am diligently removing neighbors who are unfortunately ignorant of the new tapping protocols. It is sad really. Especially when I find a neighbor who has never had a tile ready before and tap it for them just to go back a couple of hours later to tap it again and discover the tile is gone. That means they logged in and collected their tile not knowing they could be earning extra tiles just by leaving it alone. It makes me wish there was some type of in game communication system.
My new rule for thinning the neighbor population is if they click on the Simpson's house with a finished crop over the farm sitting right next to it, they get removed, period.
My goal over the next few weeks is to have 100 dedicated neighbors clicking away on farms, tiles, open air stages and tv stations. If you would like to join me, add me.
I'd be grateful if some of you tile and Channel 6/ Cletus' Farm tappers would add me!
So few people are actually tapping my Squidport tile and I've only recently started growing Moonshine to get the benefit of tapping that (Although Channel 6 is ready!)
Thanks guys!

We're already neighbours and I'm happy to exchange taps on these three daily!
Wow. I've been doing it all wrong!! Currently not working and I'm extremely addicted to the game so I literally play for hours EVERYDAY. I've played for 2 months now and I'm at level 32. Seeing this makes me think how much further along I could be by now but oh well. Starting today I will be tapping only SP tiles, news 6, arenas and farms! Please add me so I can have some neighbors that will do the same!! I will have a tile ready in just under 5 hours so please feel free to add me - phreaynck so I can see how this works! Also, should I start the longest news broadcast available and make moonshine for the same effect? My 4 hour broadcast will be available to tap in minutes. Thanks for the enlightenment!

I think a lot of us only found this out now except for the tile.
Here's the add me thread if you want to tap more than tiles:

I actually have over 50 friends but never realized what I SHOULD do with/ what to expect from them. I should probably get rid of the friends I do have and start over with knowledgeable springfielders
I just had a neighbor tap my news 6 and there is now a handshake next to it. Does that mean that I have to wait until there are 2 handshakes before I can tap on it to start receiving my XP/$?

Yes, all you have to know for all these buildings are complete a task, wait for a first handshake, never remove that one, and remove coming ones for mega XP and moolah.
I'll have a tile ready in less than 10 minutes. I'm brand new to the this tile tapping thing so I'm pretty eager to see how it works. I will reciprocate the tile tap! phreaynck, add me, do it!
So I just came across this thread a couple days ago and immediately started a tile. Now 2 days later it's ready but I have no idea what to do. Would someone be kind enough to save me from having to read this whole thread again & give me a quick summary of how this works? I just want to make sure I can tap if I have 2 handshakes but shouldn't tap if there's only 1. Also, how does my tapping friends tiles work. Do they get an extra one because I tapped and if I'm tapping daily does their bonus multiply? Thank you.

yes, you have to keep at least one handshake floating above your Squidport (if you tap the last one, you'll have to pay and wait for the next one to be ready - basically, your neighbors should always be able to see that floating tile sign). Some people leave two handshakes, I don't. You can have multiple handshakes floating, but I've never seen more than two in my SF, although I've heard of four (maybe I play too often). When you tap the handshake you get the xp and the tile you'd have gotten normally upon the tile's completion. As a tapper you can tap the floating tiles if they're ready, and receive a nice fat xp package (depending, I believe on which level the port is on). You can re-enter and do it 3 times, or wait for your friend to use the handshake you just gave them, reenter and repeat. That is called synchronized tapping and it's how you make the most of the Squidport glitch, although it's difficult to synchronize everyone on your friend list and if you're living in a completely different time zone than the rest of the players like me, it gets nearly impossible, so I just reenter 3 times at once.
That's much easier than it sounds.
On a side note, my tile is always ready, and I've got about 20 spots for tiletappers - come tap the s%#& out of my squidport

Thank you. I was worried that I was going to screw it up somehow and the last thing I want to do is screw up my friends' tiles. The second last thing I want to do is wait 2 days to make another tile in my SF.
