Feel guilty....

I agree. I had so many the other day, I lost track. I plan on repaying everyone, but I'm sure I will miss someone. Especially with the elves collecting my gifts for me now. If someone places gift bags of the entry screen, I may not even know they are there.

I don't get any then I try to spread it around between 100 people everyone gets one if they are lucky. I'm gonna save them start at the first person on my list and drop 5 until I'm out. At that rate everyone will get 5 by the end of the event lol

I have the same problem! I mean I try to balance it out, but it's hard to stretch out 40 -50 gifts when you have 100 neighbors.
Also is it just me or is the whole gifting system unbalanced? I mean I love the idea and all, but it seems way off. You'd think that you could collect enough to have left overs after going thru all your neighbors towns. I hope it's some sort of mistake or glitch, because at this rate we'll be lucky to get the first community prize in time. :?

They are playing on your sympathy hoping you will buy gift bags. Does anyone care that their gift bags are not being reciprocated? You can have the entire event done in 10 days with no donuts, who is stressing about gift cards?

I don't worry about it. For the most part, I give to those I think need a little boost.

Glad I'm in the same boat as others if makes sense, and that goes for the 2 posts above, but does seem unfair if you know what I mean

Same goes for me. I visit all 100 neighbors daily and try to give out the scant bags that I am able to find. As mentioned above, I too have friends who are leaving me like 4-5 bags a day when I barely have enough to leave half of the givers a single bag. It's crazy and I definitely feel bad. I wish there was a way to earn more bags, rather than having to purchase them.

Add me to the list of people feeling guilty.
I have some really great neighbors who have kindly left me 5 gift bags (mbaron & mrplow in particular), more than once too, but I'm hardly getting any to return their kindness.
I'm giving what I can and hopefully I'll be able to repay their generosity before the event is over.

I'm thinking of going this route too. My real-life friends are dropping five at a time, which I understand, but several of my TO friends are generous enough to do the same. I've been trying to hit everyone with the small amount of bags I have, but it's not an easy task.

Same here. Starting to realize it will be impossible for me to keep up. Started a list when this started, I'm now 50 gifts behind. Just don't have enough to repay everyone. So to all my neighbors I really appreciate the gift bags and don't worry about giving me any more. I will easily make the 30,000 goal for the individual prizes and should get plenty of free spins after.

I started with the first person on my list and dropped 5 each until I ran out, then started the next group when I got more. I am getting a decent amount so I think I did 3 sets of drops yesterday. I dropped like 12, second drop the last person got 3 more and I went on until I ran out.

I'm only visiting when I have gift bags, I drop 2 per town each time. Working through my lists.

I try to spread out the giving of gift bags to my neighbours, but it is hard to keep track. I try to remember who gave me a gift bag, but sometimes the name pops up so quickly or it's hard or see it against the snowy background. They should make the names stand out more. I also think you should get more gift cards from the gift bags- it's a lot of work for something that yields 3 or 5 gift cards at the most.

30-40 jeez I've only ever had a high of 11 and that's with tons of gifts dropped in my world and visiting 100 friends everyday. They are so far and few between!

I too would love to be able to give all my neighbors 5 gift bags each! I am tapping tiles when they are up hoping that makes up for the lack of gift bags!!! What ever I get, I give out ASAP. I have no feeder towns so all gift bags are going to my neighbors.

Yeah, I feel underhanded too.

But, I'm saving them all up so one day I can give out a ton, as a thank you to everyone who's placed them in my town. I have about 150 now, waiting until 200 so everyone gets at least two from me.

If my friends are reading this, I have not forgot you!

I'm trying to leave one in every town. I know I'm not successful but I'm only getting 30-49 a day and there's not enough to go around to all my 96 friends

I realised after a little more than two days of not giving giftbags, I collect enough to drop 1 each in all my neighbours with a few left over that I give to my favourites. Then I just wait until I collect enough again. So that's the strategy I'm working with for now, this way I don't have to fret over which friends I didn't get to give on my last visiting rounds.

I started dropping five at a time. I think people remember you more when you unload on them. Because my neighbors I've done that for have returned the favor by giving me five. That's my five cents.
