I don't mind all that much. It's partly my own doing, as I have very few 'low' buildings; maybe 5 Brown houses, 1 KEM, and 2 KBs.

I lost my tile with the holiday update...so now I am back to being a carefree neighbor... But when my corn will be ready...

"Good gracious. I hope I remember to tap her corn."

I don't care what they tap. It would be nice if people tapped my channel 6, but I don't care at the moment because I understand people want to make the most of the event.

I'm glad I caught this. I'll keep this in mind next time I visit. May I suggest the Arnie Pie Broadcast for higher pay out per tap. I decided to add a broadcast myself to give visitors something else to tap

I think all bets are off for the events. What I'm really happy about is that 50-60 of my neighbors had ridiculous signage saying Tap Squidport tile! No all that is gone thanks to the update dropping their tiles. Forever if the had 150. It was getting silly.

Now that I' very reached my prize total I look for sqidport and or other buildings . But sometimes the tapping is quicker than the thought processes. For my town I have built as many brown houses as I could fit close to my depot fully expecting my neighbours to tap them and only clear them when they have been tapped , so there is always some houses ready whenever anyone visits.
Pretty much same for me. I look for any "stackable" buildings now, when I can, partly to make up for having so few gift bags to give out. I also went with brown houses near my depot, because they're really cheap and have short timers.

I don't care about who taps what in my town.. why make it a big deal... Some of you take this game to seriously. If it weren't for events, I wouldn't need neighbours at all (or want besides my real friends). I have more than enough money. Now that I've established that I don't care in the slightest; what really bothers me is your spelling of forgiveness.

    Is that really a thing?....

Well anyway, I don't care what you tap in my town, just glad my friends visited) thanks to those guys, btw, they've been great this holiday season.
Also, I do not have all day to find the highest paying building or whatever so I'm just tapping whatever I see that will give me 10 gift cards. You know, with the job and all there's just no time. I takes about an hour out of my day as it is.

Thrilled with the results of this poll. From the amount of threads complaining about ones neighbors I would have thought it would go the other way, but the silent masses are apparently reasonable human beings. Thank goodness

Honestly it doesn't bother me. Just tap what you want. I've put brown houses and KEMs in my landing zone for those who want to visit neighbours quickly. If anyone has more time to explore; that's cool too

What do you do if there's nothing left to tap because they're collecting all their taxes and not leaving anything available for visitors to tap on. I am only collecting handshakes and buildings I know do not pay out gift cars. I like to leave something for my neighbors to tap on. I'm not that desperate for money, at this point.

I'll forgive around holiday events, but would prefer if they tried to click something else.

i definitely agree with your sentiments. i write down everyone who drops off gifts and try to make sure they all get at least 3 every time they do. Pay it forward

The Simpson house has a 45-second timer. Resetting said timer is of absolutely no benefit to your neighbor, so there are players who get annoyed by having it tapped, because it's pointless.
Right now, during the gift-card frenzy, it's all about making sure there are houses for your neighbors to tap, and the Simpson house is actually a good option because it does reset so quickly. Brown houses are also a good option for this.
So, basically, being a good neighbor around an event is all about helping your neighbors get special currencies. Right now, the best way to do that is to make sure they can tap in your town. During non-events, being a good neighbor is more about going and tapping things in other towns that are useful to their owners.

I purposely bought and placed 30 brown houses around the depot just so folks could have something quick and easy to tap. I really don't care if people tap something else. It surprises me how many folks go all through my Springfield anyway looking for something else to tap, though. I don't mind because I like the layout of my town and am happy folks are seeing it, but I also wonder if they realize how much time they could be saving just going for the area designed for their convenience. This is especially true since I am tapping most of the high payout buildings when I see them up to pay for the land and buildings I laid down special for this event. :-)

Anyway - tap whatever you like is my philosophy. I am just happy to have folks come visit.
