Apologies to Friends: The Wheel Made Me Do It

Ha, you realize you've brought this upon yourself. Even when I hide my channel 6 in the corner, shovel dirt on it, and have it play dead, you manage to find it and tap it.

It's good that you posted this actually. Lately I've just assumed that most of my neighbors with mad gift card totals are already done with the wheel.

Yes, I know, I know . . . I just can't help myself when I see those "glitchables!" I SO should have stopped clicking them a week ago when I saw that The Wheel situation was becoming dire. :oops: I just felt guilty not clicking them.

I actually put my stage, Ch. 6 & farm purposely out of commission for the whole event because it distressed me that people were clicking on them instead of earning gift cards for themselves. Ha!

I never thought I'd be here at this late date, with all these gift cards & STILL with not one, but TWO elusive wheel prizes left to seek. GAH! My poor Springfielders are about to fall over dead from this Part 18 Hunting Trip From Hell. :evil:

I feel your pain, though to a slightly lesser extent - 112k cards, and for 45 straight spins I've managed to avoid getting my last thing (Claus co)

I think there was someone who didn't clear the wheel until something like 154k cards, so I keep that tiny, flickering flame of hope burninig. *sigh*

I was at 156,000 cards when I gave up and bought some tokens which finale Got me Claus Co, so I know how you feel. I would probably have gotten the last prize without spending donuts but that's odds for you.

Hi, Bette! I read your post earlier when you'd cleared the wheel. (Maybe it was you I was thinking of who cleared it with such a high amount of gift cards.) It made me wonder if I need to buy some "sacrificial" coins so as to appease the Donut Gods at EA.

Maybe then I'll get one or two of my items.

With my luck, I'd still end up with money. :?

I'm a sane, stable kinda guy. My main town is at 102,000 my second at 70,0000 and I'm finally getting irritated by my wheel not landing on the collection of 'free' pixels known as ClausCo.

I too am ignoring glitchables in neighbours towns except where the LZ tree is positioned right next to them.

Feels like I'm a card ****.

Don't be - I'm not too fussed about Helter Shelter anyway. Not a completionist either, so to me it's only a nice to have.

You've GOT to be confusing my town with someone else's town.

I just started plunking buildings down during Halloween & still haven't properly organized things. The only thing I had going for me is that I really made an effort to get my neighbors to visit the forum to find out about the tile glitch & then the ones that followed.

You're still working on clearing the wheel, right? If so, I'll save you some gift bags.

Since I'm only tapping on the occasional stray present, I don't have a lot of gift bags, but I just gave you what I have.

I'm so glad you can tell it's a donut! I thought it might be nice to make something out of my housefarm just for the heck of it. I took some screenshots of it just before the snow fell, but I haven't found time to teach myself how to stitch photos together yet. Right now, it's a frosted donut.

See this is what I get for assuming. Even the polar bears know I failed. I figured with over 100k gift bags you were good to go. I just dropped 5 in your town and will keep dropping until you say you're good.

On a side note: would all my neighbors please give my gift bags to others. PLEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEE, pretty please with sugar and a cherry on top. While I appreciate your generosity, my "No more gifts plz" message took me quite a while to work out. There is no way I have the patience to add "give to others" too.

Hi Neighboorinos! I am exactly in the same boat, I have over 133k gift cards and still missing the Clausco. So whenever I see a glitchable at a neighbor' I have to decide: click it or not ! I just hope I will clear that wheel soon enough, and get to my normal game, because my characters have been looking for Homer and Lisa for over a week now !

I'm thankful that the event has been extended a week. I don't feel so panicked now. Let's just hope my luck & that of quite a few other players will change over this next week.

Now, if only my neighbor's who DO need gift bags would give a holler, that would be great. I'd like to do as much good as possible with what bags I do have. It seemed so much easier to help others and to know who needed help during the Halloween event somehow.

I've taken the opposite approach. As the end date looms nearer, my hope has faded so I've started tapping glitchables again because why the heck not. I have two prizes left and now instead of getting money I'm most often getting 50 gift cards, which is at least 100x more infuriating than 1000 money.

Of course I just keep spinning, just keep spinning, just keep spinning spinning spinning, but all enjoyment has been sucked right out of it.

On a positive note: I loved your post and I love your badge. That is the first badge I've actually cared to put in my siggy. It's great!

I have a backlog saved up, since I quit visiting neighbors for a week thanks to wheel-completion-burnout. :oops:

Woo Hoo! I mean, Boo Hoo for your misfortune, but Woo Hoo that I know that you need gift bags, so I can put them to good use.

Hopefully, others who read this will do the same for you. I'm hopeful that this extra week will change our luck. :thumbup:

I'm sticking with my decision not to click on glitchables until I (Jebus willing) clear the wheel. My Awesome Neighborinos will understand & I'll be back to my glitchables-searching-self ASAP. (It is hard, though, and feels so unnatural not to click on them.
