I think it's a good thing. They're leveling the playing field some and trying to make the event playable for everyone.

Someone with 100 neighbors shouldn't be finished with an event in 1/5 the time as someone with 20 neighbors. Even the guy with 10 neighbors has a shot now.

You still need neighbors, but you don't need to go balls out about it.

The persons with 10 and 20 friends can come onto the forums or any social media site and gain friends. It's not difficult. I dont think EA had to do this to make it more even for people too lazy (???) to get more friends.

I think it's a great thing EA have introduced, 5 hearts for your first 30 actions, 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 (which last i saw allowed 180 actions)

Doesn't it make a total of 150 actions?

Another thing I've noticed is that I only get 5 hearts for 29 actions. That means that even if it says "5 hearts for the next 1 actions", I only get 4 hearts. :(

But why would EA want to level the playing field? The more friends a user has, the better it is for the game. Friends encourage friends to play and some players may even introduce new players to Tapped Out in their search for more friends. Candy Crush didn't get where it is today by being shy about forcing people to pester their friends.

Anyway, I like the change only because now I don't have to play as much. I visited all 100 of my neighbors almost every day during Halloween and Christmas. Now? I visit 40. From a health of the game perspective; however, it was a really really stupid move.

What I do is to first work through my list starting with A's then when I visit later I start at the end and work back. Solves any problems.

That's horrible logic. This isn't a competion. This is a work based social game. Someone with 5 times as many friends SHOULD get 5 times as many rewards for doing 5 times the work.

So that's what YOU do, great. But you have to know that the vast majority of users ar not doing that so high letter players get less visits over all. If any of you played this game a while ago, you'd know that it used to be alphabetical, but then they changed it t scrambled due to community request. Sucks that they changed it back.

I've been puzzling over this too... i only have 40 friends, so as i was going through the motions, tapping away each time the counter went down it got to 1 heart per visit, saying i could do 179 actions. I'm not sure how those figures came up but that's what i got on the notification bar

I did have one or two friends towns last night that i had to 'skip' because they had nothing to tap on, but i'm cool with that, i don't delete people just because they are inactive or there's nothing to tap, i appreciate them taking the time to either send me a friend request or acepting my friend request. All i can hope if in 24hrs time they will have somehting to tap. Don't like deleting people

Hey I know that, I'm way down the list on a 'T'. like you, I was only trying to help this situation. But to be honest I personally am happy that they are visiting me at all one heart still adds to the score.
I've noticed that a few of my neighbours are only tapping once, I don't think it's to start the clock. They come back later or next day but then I only get 1 or 2 hearts. I wonder if they are trying to spread them out so everyone wins a little. Just a thought.

Every other day I start visiting friends at the bottom of the alphabet once I noticed I maxed in hearts out before I got to Z.

I do the same as you in an attempt to be fair.

Safe to say many won't consider this.

But I think they are also saying they aren't encouraging people to have 100 friends either. Events like Whacking Day merited complete friend lists. So what they are saying is that you still get a reward for your work; but you do not need to have 100 friends to complete the event. I favor this, since visiting 100 friends can take over an hour. Know how much battery life that sucks out of my phone? Would much rather half that, but still able to complete the event. I think it's making the game more enjoyable not having to sit going through 100 towns and tapping the first thing you see. Now I get a chance to move around the town.

100 friends is still beneficial since your characters get more cards in your town.

I wish it was chronological: oldest friends first

True. I've noticed a lot of my friends a-c tend to not have any characters available for cards.

Every single person who visits me has given me 2 hearts every time. I thought because of that that it must give you 2 hearts when it's in your town despite having different numbers when you visit other people? Is it just a weird coincidence then?

Ps no idea if that made any sense, i didn't know how to explain it lol

It would have been the same result with how the list was before. The list would need to scramble every day. Not seeing that. I go through all 100. Doesn't take much time

Not quite the same result. At least if your username started with a Z you'd have just as much chance of being in someone's 5 heart zone as you would being in someone's 1 heart zone.

Scrambled everyday would be even better.
So I had three stents put into my heart. Does that count for the total?

three! wow, and i though i was bad with two (at age 34)!
