Grandpa and storytelling

It seems whenever a job comes up for Grandpa, it's always tell story. Is this a glitch? I know he has other "jobs" but that seems to be the only one that I get.

It's not a glitch, I get them to, seems like grandpa had alot to say, mainly gibberish.

Be thankful it's the shortest task on his list.

Really wish EA would dump this forced tasking part of the game. Don't understand the point of it.

We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell 'em stories that don't go anywhere - like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. "Give me five bees for a quarter," you'd say.

Now where were we? Oh yeah: the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

You must not have been playing when he was glitching hard.
He would tell stories constantly. You would do the task and as soon as it completed it would pop up again asking for grandpa to tell stories. It was never ending so grandpa was on the task book forever.

At first I thought EA was trying to make an 'old and senile' joke, but now it's just A) Not Funny B) Slightly insulting C) annoying and D) tedious.

Chud - That was a great episode!

    lol'd alot

In Europe, i think they tie hair to their hats and dream about "the old days", where nobody had anything except coal and well - coal. And marches, don't forget the marches! And Flags. Oh the importance of a Flag..

I agree. Thanks to this forum I now know to visit Krustyland or the Other Springfield and the task disappears (if I haven't tapped on the character first - which, uh, I forget not to do).
