Me too. I have at least 4 KEMs and probably even more gulp and blows. I'm running out of places to hide them and my rating is STILL at 4.5 stars.
Ditch the gulp'n'blows and get some khlav kalash stands and koffee karts, you'll save some space that way.

That's actually an awesome idea, thanks. I don't know why I didn't think of doing that.. my whole squid port is filled with coffee karts but I only have like 2 khlav kalash stands.

    *off to buy more*

This worked wonders for me with my town redesign, freed up new space and allowed me to change things around without losing m y gluttony rating :)

    Exactly :)

I want something that will do the same thing for consumerism.

My other game has all the limited times Consumerism items and a couple premiums (I still haven't gotten the Sprawl mart) And I still have 4 KEM's. Now, they are not hidden, nor are they farmed. I've treated them like corner stores. And IRL, corner stores are everywhere. (What doesn't help is that the Vday update adjusted a couple building's C-O-M placing, so consumerism went down a building.)

One by my arena sporting section:
    KEM1.png

One by the hospital (and mall)
    KEM2.png

One in the housing development I currently have
    KEM3.png

And one in the "poor" part of my town. (Had to put back once Vday took away one of the buildings to Consumerism)
    KEM4.png

before Christmas, which added 5 to consumerism, I had a small KEM farm loosely hidden behind the Sunsphere, The elevator to nowhere, and King Homer. I was able to pack it up after Christmas which was very nice. They are getting better for consumerism. At one point, you would have required 13 KEM's if you were a free player only on Android. Now you will likely require 8. (so long as you started before Christmas)

Though ITA, they should have a small, easily hide-able decoration for consumerism. They relented and gave us 2 for Gluttony, so why not Consumerism? (V) ;,,; (V)

I've not farmed and managed to get 4.5 on consumerism and indolence. I really am not going to add additional KEM's or G&B's just to increase by .5 of a star. I think an item or decoration that adds to consumerism is really great idea, maybe a soft toy cart for SP? As for houses I really don't want to add more houses until we have a new type, I've got at least four of each as it is... :?

I fall into that category. 1 KEM, 1 Krusty Burger, 1 GNB. The only "multiples" I have are houses.

The only things hidden in my town are training walls, and it's not too many of them.

So what do you have for consumerism? Were you able to achieve this feat without spending a bunch of donuts? Inquiring minds want to know

Unfortunately it's all donuts. Howard's Flowers, House of Evil, Ferris Wheel (1), Sprawl Mart, Mapple Store, Lemonade Stand (1), Wax Museum, Museum of History. It's basically 1 of each premium item. Before Christmas I needed 5-7 KEM to keep the 5 stars. I had 3-4 on display, and 1 hidden behind Spinster Apartments, 1 behind the high school and 1 other hidden somewhere else. Then with the Mall, Ice Rink and others, someone reported being able to remove the extra KEMs.

While the above sounds like lots of donuts, but I'm a month 1 player - so Howard's Flowers was free, House of Evil was free, Mapple Store was free, so it was really the rest of the premiums that came at the expense of donuts.

I have 1 Squidport building left to build and I have Howard's Flowers, Try 'n' save, and Sprawl mart and only have 3.5 stars. Did someone say lemonade stands boost consumerism?

Definatley the hardest of the ratings to get to 5 stars, i've just added Sprawl Mart and the Museum and it hasn't made a dent in the 4 stars i have. ONly opions i have left are adding Disco Stu's disco, Pet Shop, and Try-N-Save

    frustrating rating this one... :(

I found a website that says why buildings affect what. On consumerism I need to build Stu's Disco, Museum of Natural History, Lugash's Gym, Grocery Store and the Pet Shop.

I have now built all apart from Grocery Store. I now have 4 stars instead of 3.5. Not sure what else I could build to increase these, I have all Squidport and only Grocery Store left. I don't want more than 1 KEM!

Do you have the limited House of Evil or Mapple Store? You may need a second KEM.

Lemonade Stands I thought said build it up, but they are also for donuts in Springfield. I only bought one, since I like 1 of everything. They are also limited to Squidport, so having too many will make look bad.

Once i can afford to buy more donuts i will add the missing items i think i might need, if that doesn't work, i'll expand my SquidPort further and add the premium items for there, if that doesn't work, i'm gonna need a new Tablet to play the game on cuz mine will probably go out the window

I thought lemonade stands increased gluttony?

I've also seen elsewhere that the pet store has no impact on consumerism, which is a shame because I think it's the next premium I want when I save up more donuts. Might have to get the try-n-save instead. (Or the Aztec Theater. Does that increase consumerism? I swear I've seen it with a cash register floating over it.)

    I thought that too :?

Shame about the pet store if that's true. Try-N-Save is the next one for me i think.

Before i started to buy donuts i saved up for the Aztec Theatre, didn't make a dent in Consumerism, not even half a star :(

Why is this rating such a pain the the you know what to get to 5 stars? :?

Because it's one of the few left with no decoration to boost it.

No, seriously, gluttony used to be a similar sort of pain. The gulp'n'blow franchise was as popular as kwik-e-mart because it was the best way to boost gluttony. Now we have a lot more things for gluttony, many of them added within the last few months, and fast food franchises are unnecessary. So, that's why I'm hoping the next decoration they introduce will be a consumerism booster. I don't know how often EA employees look at the forum, but it's worth a shot to talk about it here until something happens.

I'm on android and during the Halloween update my tablet broke and I didn't play tapped out until January, missed out on Halloween up to week before end of Christmas update. I will buy some KEMs when I have more land. I have 5 stars on everything except consumerism. :(

Sorry, no, the Aztec pays out with a wad of notes floating over it. :(

It affected some other category before, but according to a recent post on TSTO topix, it has now been fixed so that it increases consumerism.
