My personal recommendations would be Frink and Otto. Two cool characters and two cool 'buildings'. All the premium characters are worth it too. After that, Aztec and the Observatory are nice.

I'd recommend Santas Village, but only because its a limited time item. You'd have enough donuts for Dr. Nick after that.

Mole Man and SVT will give you some really cool tasks. I adore the Aztec.

Stay away from Lard Lad. I have it now but only because I had a few donuts going begging with nothing to buy.

I recently bought both Otto and fink and love em both. Both fun characters with buildings and finks animations are awesome.

I would say start by spending your donuts on characters, or buildings that come with characters, since they will be the better in-game money earners.

Definitely focus on characters. Ignore anything that claims you get a % advantage, you don't.

I made a list and then went from there. Also visit your friends and see how their prem. items look, take a screenshot so you can study them and see if they will work into the design of your town. Also you can click on them and hear what they say when you visit those other towns.

I have Scorpio, the Teen, Kearny, Otto, Bumblebee Man, Moleman, and my son has those plus Fink. My personal favorite is Bumblebee Man because his sayings crack me up.

In the end, it is your decision to make so have fun making one lol.

Personally I wouldn't bother with the Santas village..for the cost, something that will just get boring after Christmas :S

I mean seriously how is a 200 donut Santas village gonna work in your town after Christmas..when all that Christmassy themed stuff has long gone ?

The Santa homer idea is great...throughout December only though...and if I'm honest think we should all have access to it through coins or something...not 200 donuts !

Not true. The premium item percentage bug was fixed on the 5th of this month.

And others are saying it has not been fixed? I don't know either way I wouldn't buy them. Focus on characters.

You're right, it'll look tacky. Fits perfectly into a town like springfield. I could easily imagine a year round Santas village in the show that looks out of place. And Santa homer (and the village) will both produce premium earnings when the update is over.

HA! My son was begging me to let him spend the $20 to get that thing. I told him that I thought it was waste because are you seriously going to use it after Christmas. Plus it's just another costume for an existing character. I'd rather buy a new character altogether.

There was only one person claiming it hadn't been fixed, and every person that responded to them in the thread claimed the exact opposite. Bottom line, they are working, and they're definitely worth it (well, depending on what one you get).

Exactly...it would be perfect to have..but again, only for this month, afterwards...not so much...it should be a quest building !!

    Honestly?

    I wouldn't buy anything.

Are you at Level 24 with all the free quests complete?

    Then maybe consider it.

I agree. I spent quite a bit of time researching who would get me the most $/XP, but after accidentally getting Kearney, I picked the characters I like; Otto & Bumblebee guy. That was in October. I just got my 2nd truckload of 300 donuts a couple days ago. I got Frink & will probably get Sideshow Mel. I would recommend going w/characters or choosing bldgs that come w/characters.

I really like the Duffman & factory. This was my top priority premium item. Definitely worth it and wished I got him sooner.

I'm considering Frinks next; from what others said, seems he is worth it.

BumbleBee man is just ok (my opinion, his tasks are boring) but decent in that there are short-duration options.

I love Moleman, and Otto. Otto has decent variety of shorter tasks; I prioritize variety of short tasks in deciding which to buy, if I'm stuck between two I like.

SVT is a bit annoying (obviously supposed to be) but once Truffles is built has a lucrative one-hour task; otherwise you really also need Aztec for a 4-hr task. At lower levels the only task is 24hr hamburger sale for him unless Aztec is also bought.

I realize this thread is old, and the OP may have resolved his decision by now; just adding my opinion for whomever is considering premiums. It is a good question/topic.
