Building animations

Pimento Grove animation is pretty cool, so sad that it's not used more in the game

    It was nice during the Halloween event when we could "haunt" these unused buildings to see their animations. Calmwood Mental Hospital has a rope ladder thrown from the window. Additionally, most of the Squidport buildings, Fort Sensible, the Ice Cream Shop, Howard's Flowers, Community Center, the Bad Dream House and Subatomic Super Collider remain unusable as far as I know.

    Surely it wouldn't be any hassle for the developers to change some of the 1hr shop at KEM tasks and replace them with new ones for the unused buildings? That task is the most annoyingly boring one in the game

    Especially as we have the mall, costing tons, sprawl mart, Springfield grocery store, twist & save as well as the restaurants mentioned above. Is the noise land arcade usable? :?: :?

    I think Noiseland Arcade is used by Dolph only, which is a shame, there's Bart, Milhouse, Nelson, who could all use it too

    El chemistri and bad dreams house have the best animations.... :(

    Sorry to burst your bubble, but not everyone has those items. So that will mean they will be left out on important tasks

    No bubble burst, but the timely reminder that not all will have these items, explains why they don't have a huge task list. It would make more sense for them to have tasks assignable if they are premium. Might be more attractive to non premium players :-)

    The animations we have suck. Most of them are just the flag. I like Asia de Cuba when legs and Louie are inside it.

    Basically just like the recent Gil offer, it's made a few people switch to premium, it was a clever offer from EA, not the best, but a clever offer none the less.

    New tasks for unused buildings that are premium will bring in more paying players as they want the items

    For buildings that people may not have because of a missed event, not much can be done for that other than for EA to sell them for donuts (like Barney's Bowlerama, Try N Save) or wait another x-amount of time for them until that event comes back

    Anyways, back on topic...

    well, actually, Pimento Grove was the only one i can think of until i get back in my game later to try and remember which unused buildings had cool animations

    Too bad they can't just assign tasks to those buildings and have them "grayed" out if you don't have the buildings, like the other tasks where you need something to complete it.

    Otherwise, what's the point in even designing these buildings and having them available? If a player knew that a building wouldn't be used, they wouldn't buy it.

    More buildings (especially premium) with tasks = More money for EA.

    Won't somebody please think of the bottom line? :twisted:

    Too bad they can't just assign tasks to those buildings and have them "grayed" out if you don't have the buildings, like the other tasks where you need something to complete it.

    This already happens. I have grayed out quests for Up, Up and Buffet for some of my characters.

    Best method would be to assign all the basic 1 hr kwik e marts to new buildings like the mall, squidport, pimento grove etc. the game checks to see if you have that building available. If you do, the 1 hr kwik stop is changed to the new building. If not, it remains the default task. Simple. That way it limits the clutter on characters task list. Some are pretty long already, like homer, Lisa, etc

    best animations is the Bad Dreams House, hands down. During Halloween I specifically remembered which of my friends had that building so I could go haunt it. I left mine perma haunted for the event just so I could enjoy the animations.

    But since not everyone has that building, runner up, El Chemistri.

    Even if we don't have characters using these buildings it would be nice if there was some way we could get the animations going. Like, maybe by collecting rents/Income taxes? IDK something.

    Nowadays I pick only visible tasks, but before I would only buy buildings characters used. This is why I still don't have Jasper. Lotta donuts for a totally useless building.

    So they can do it for all the other places too.
