I think the wheel is a great invention.

It helped us to be able to move things easier with rolling motion of the wheel and prevent from just dragging things.

it has so many uses today.

Cars would not work very well without wheels just to name one.

Agreed. But a car without wheels, say a hover car, would be much cooler in my opinion.

true but i am sure there are some small wheels in the mechanics somewhere to make that work.

Rather choose what I want to buy, by in game $ or donuts.

Don't like to be controlled by a rigged abomination.

I don't think I'd survive playing the game if a third monstrosity appears....

Suggestion for future wheels: All items on the wheel can be bought with donuts.

    Boom.

    I just fixed the wheel.

Seriously, the wheel is fantastic for free players, who can potentially get premium items they may not otherwise have gotten because those items would cost donuts. But for those who are willing to spend donuts, let them. On the items themselves, not just chances. For example (not sure how best to do the numbers, so this is just an example), you could get a spin for 5 donuts, or buy the item itself for 20 donuts. EA still ends up making about as much money (maybe a tad more or less), and the players are happier (free and paying).

If there is a downside to this plan, PLEASE explain it to me.

all items on the wheel can already be purchased with donuts

I like the wheel to an extent. It would be interesting to see a wheel at each level up rather than the shell game of donuts. It could be similar to the Christmas wheel in that the wheel would offer premium buildings and characters we haven't received or purchased yet and also offer donuts as well. Just a thought.

My experience with the wheel is different with the two events: Valentines was easy, and Christmas was nerve wracking. So I have to say that I did not enjoy at all the Christmas one, and I did not enjoy the Valentines one, until I got all the prizes of the wheel.

Of course, the odds were better this time, but would I like to see the wheel again ? NO ... because when times are difficult, it becomes extremely stressful, and a casual game should not be that stressful. My heart now goes with all those that have not yet cleared the wheel.

I finished both easily, so I don't hate them, but I didn't enjoy them. Donuts should be possible, even just a tiny chance. It would keep interest up for people who complete it early. I like the concept of decorations better than cash (and I really raked in a ton of trains and ponds which boosted my multiplier significantly), but I hate now that I'm stuck with a ton of decorations. Let me sell or delete the extras, let donuts be a possibility, then I think it would be good.

Can you imagine the shitstorm that would erupt on here if people cleared the wheel and then started getting bonus donuts, while others were still trying to clear the wheel??

Valentines wheel was easy to crack, I figured it out and collected everything by day two without using any doughnuts. The wheel operates on the simple turn-by-turn that will perform exactly the same number of rotations until you exit the wheel. So, using at least two spins at the time you can predict exactly where it will stop. Let's say you need a train. Set the needle at train and spin clockwise. Let's say it lands on a gazebo, which is two spaces away. Adjust the needle so it is on the fences and spin again clockwise. It should land on the train this time. If it didn't adjust as needed based on space and the location. Make sure to spin in the same direction, and if you exit the wheel it will reset and you will have to start over. I hope this was helpful to anyone who hasn't cleared their wheel yet. Also, I found it difficult to adjust the needle to stay on the winning spot prior to rotation. It would constantly move from the intended location, and either set off a spin from a wrong spot or, preventing spin altogether. But, once it came together, it would always win.

Not have donuts be a replacement for an item cleared, but have it be one of the regular items. So if you didn't get random thing on the wheel that you wanted, at least you might land on 3 donuts. It would ease the pain a tiny bit.

If there is another wheel in the next event, I shall not play The Simpsons Tapped Out again for 24 hours. Then I may review this policy depending upon, but not limited to, various boredom factors.

Worst. Event. Prize. Thingy. Idea. Ever.

Seriously I hate that damn wheel. Yes the Valentines day wheel was easier (in terms of odds) but the prizes stunk and the Holiday Wheel was torture.

You are wrong. The only wheel items you can buy are the train and pond, and those weren't available to buy with donuts until the later part of the event. I'm saying put ALL the wheel items available to buy for donuts from the beginning.

    I am not wrong
You can buy spins for the wheel with donuts.
If you spend enough donuts on spins you can get everything from the wheel.

You can buy spins, but not the specific items.
    So you are wrong.

playing the game should be fun. the wheel creates unnecessary stress and anxiety. Id rather grind away and earn prizes for playing than relay on dumb luck.

Enjoy the wheel. Added a bit of excitement and frustration which compared with the tedium of grinding is a good thing. I do think the wheel needs enough variation in terms of prizes to avoid the duplicates we got this Valentines Day though. Donuts would be a good alternative.

In my opinion, I like the idea, but it needs better execution. If it's like a normal wheel, every section should be equal. That way getting everything is better an easier. Then, once you have cleared an item, either replace/keep the prize or decoration until you cleared the wheel. Then, once the wheel has been cleared, replace one of the prizes (i.e make one of them a building you can only get one of) and replace that spot with like 5 donuts or even smaller. Even 3 honestly. That was my issue with Valentines. I literally finished the event in 4 days and have barely played since. Free donuts motivates to play. Being able to spin for a million gross flowery Valentines decorations had no appeal to me because I would never use them.

It's ok, but I could use a break. What about other games...plinko or slots or carnival games in krustyland?
Would be motivating to have donuts be a prize. With the amount of donuts going up after every donut win. Or wait till wheel cleared to have donuts appear as prize.

More games would be cool. I like the element of luck. People talk about how their town is more unique etc, but it isn't really. You were either around at the time or were willing to fork out for donuts. A game of chance where only certain people end up with Premium items would make things much more interesting.
