Yeah I leave loads untapped, lots of my neighbours don't, but if they need the money who can blame them.

I don't need $ & just tap handshakes. But if your not far like I am, you need to tap. Your town, your game. I'm so tired about hearing what makes people bad neighbors.

I usually just tap handshakes too. I have just about 1mil banked so money isn't an issue at the moment, but when it is, I won't feel bad about tapping my houses. Isn't that what they're there for in the first place? :P

I'm trying to make some more money after spending loads on weather stations without realising how much I spent lol, so I occasionally tap higher paying buildings but leave low playing ones for neighbours. Plus I clear graffiti and handshakes a lot (while I'm awake!) so there's always something they can tap :)

I haven't needed money since about the Halloween update. I largely quit collecting from buildings ever since they implemented the idle character locator. Before that, I had quit sending people on tasks for a while. Now, I just click handshakes, and send everyone on a task. All my friends should always have plenty of tapping options.

I have completed all the quests, so I don't need money any more and I leave all my building untapped. But if someone still needs money, they shouldn't feel bad about collecting. But if they aren't able to clear handshakes very often they should at least put up a bunch of brown houses (in my opinion) to be a good neighbor. Towns with nothing to tap are annoying.

Agreed, I skip and don't go back (not worth 3FP). After repeated offenses, I delete.

Wow...that's kind of a Crappy thing to say to us. Perhaps we liked tapping all of our building before the FP update.
Perhaps we are trying to save money for other things.

Calling people bad neighbours because they play their game is ridiculous. Especially if they are low lvl and need the money and XP.
I'm just not sure how well thought out your post was!!!

I clear all my buildings every time I enter my SF. The FP are not a limited time thing. Are you people who don't tap their buildings not going to ever clear your towns again? With 4 buildings to graffiti and the brown house, Simpson House, and the KM taking such little time to regenerate, there is no point in not clicking your buildings. I don't get upset if I can't collect from one of my friends. You only miss out on three FP

TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER: Was your original premise that collecting rents makes someone a bad neighbor? There is a major flaw in that.

This is not a limited time event. For how long am I supposed to stop collecting my rents? Until the end of time?

In limited time events, there are deadlines, and if my neighbors' needs are not met by that deadline, they may lose out on getting a much-desired object. So during events the majority of us alter our habits, try to get our neighbors over the goal line, and may even redesign our towns because there is a rush to the finish line

Friend points seem to be a permanent feature, and it appears from what we've been told that the "finish line" is going to be continuously moving. The prizes aren't going anywhere. Its like game levels. They seem to be planning to release more items periodically. Am I supposed to keep this up just so my friends get those prizes fast? I figure they'll get there when they get there. If they're in a rush ... well ... I don't think they're in that much rush.

So -- again -- am I supposed to sacrifice my rent collecting forever? Am i supposed to keep a little bunch of brown houses forever? Or do you have an end date in mind? If so, what date? And on what arbitrary set of circumstances do you set that date?

Don't mean that to come across as harsh, but I vehemently disagree with your statement.

Screw that, it's my town, the only reason I go into it to tap those buildings. I always tap everything and when I come back they always have handshakes on them.

Are you people who don't tap their buildings not going to ever clear your towns again?

Depends, I may or may not. I like not having to clear it out actually.
With 4 buildings to graffiti and the brown house, Simpson House, and the KM taking such little time to regenerate, there is no point in not clicking your buildings.

I don't think my neighbors know I have a Simpsons house. I haven't had it tapped a single time. Even when I didn't open my town for 48 hours. My brown houses are in a similar situation. Rarely I'll get someone to tag one, but mostly not. Due to where my (one and only) Kwik-E-Mart is located, it gets tagged daily.

I don't see many neighbors hitting my residential area. My white, orange, blue, pink houses stand freely and 99% of time remain untapped. I typically see neighbors go down (towards Squidport) for obvious reasons, I have a shopping area + restaurant row and those buildings see the majority of the tapping if the neighbor found their way out of the landing zone. I really don't care what they tag, as long as they have the option to tag something.

Just saying that top right / even middle right sees very few neighbors. All the focus is the landing zone, and towards Squidport. There are some neighbors that head to the mountains though.

I'm not saying people are bad neighbors - I just see nothing to tap and I skip it. I don't like to see a ghost town when visiting - so I'll just opt to delete them. No big deal to me, I don't make judgments on "good" or "bad" behavior. I see a town with no tappables as abandoned. I've deleted at least 5 neighbors where I'll see the same bunch of characters leaving the same building, and there's nothing to tap - so I delete them.
