I'm not sure you can get to 5 stars without multiple Kwik-e-marts. I was reading somewhere on the net (can't remember where) but it was saying that even if you had every premium and limited time item you would still need a couple Kwik-e-marts. I think it is true because I have almost every item and I am sitting at 4.5 stars.
And can someone post a pic where KM hides completely behind a building?
Negative, I don't have doubles of KEM but I still have 5 star Consumerism.

How have you guys done it? I'm stuck at 4.5, the only stores I don't have are the Mapple store and the House of Evil or whatever it was called. Also don't have any whacking day stuff just in case those pesky stalls have an affect
This article, although written last September states, even if you were a day one player with all the premium and non premium stores you'd still be 7 stores short of the points requirements. Apparently each store has 10 consumerism points.
This article written Aug 2013, says that Bachelor Arms adds to consumerism incorrectly but that Springfield Waxworks is intended too but gives indolence instead, we'll see if this changes in the next level. They also say that the Gypsy Fortune Teller shop adds to consumerism as well.
I'm not going to say you guys with 5 stars are wrong, I'm just curious to see how you've done it where I can't.

Well I do have all these items you stated so that might be the case

Fair enough, that makes sense. Sucks to be missing out these stores, but not the end of the world
not just one small decoration we need alot of big ones
That would be nice. One small one could do it, though. Half my obedience rating was hidden stop signs before the courthouse and statue of justice were released. (Now a lot of it is hidden statues of justice, just need fewer of them.) And my righteousness rating is all training walls, like most people.
Yea provided that the one item is for in game cash because it wouldn't be fair to freemium players
Well yeah, that's part of my point. I mean, there's a premium billboard if I had the donuts to spam that a dozen times, but I don't. We need a normal decoration for consumerism, absolutely.
I love the sentiment here, but I've officially given up on maintaining "5 stars" in my SF. Was so proud when I achieved that status, however, I've put the eight KEMs in storage that I had had hidden throughout my town to keep 5 stars; just don't care anymore; a nice town is more important. . . eff it, time for a White Russian.

If it makes you feel any better, until Christmas, I had to have to have 7 or 8 Kwik-E-Marts. That's with ALL the premium stores.
So I think they had adjusted a number of the existing items, or Christmas had enough stores to balance it out. I was in shock when it was posted that a single was needed.

It's the second one, at least in part. The gift depot and Santa's workshop both contribute to consumerism, and then we got the mall and Costington's. ClausCo also goes to consumerism, for those who got it. Maybe some other things, too, but those are the ones I'm sure boost consumerism.
