first of all... Sorry for outing myself in the last thread Jen, i'm still new to the site and i blindly followed others.... :P

so here is a repost of what i said before:

Thanks for those that voted for "O" (actually thanks to all the voters )

I wanted to make a "realistic" gated community that is attached to the school/memorial/park area, and simpsons residence (the area below might show up in another contest soon so I wont spill about that area )

I also only used the White and Orange houses because I liked the colour schemes and it went really well with the other colours in the community. Also when I say "realistic" I don't mean any disrespect to any other contestant (all were amazing BTW) but I wanted something that I could find in the city I live in. Where everyone knows everyone in the neighborhood, and all the kids come out and play together and all go to the same school. (hence the proximity to the school and the seating areas and such). There, that is the method to my madness

As i said i was amazed at some of the other towns, i'm amazed and honoured that so many people voted for my town. Its interesting to see each town and you know their is a story behind each town and how it is laid out, i loved it!

Also, if it wasn't for Annettemarc threatening me and forcing me to enter the contest i prolly would have been to lazy to enter :P (Thanks hun! your the best!!)

And last but not least, Thanks Jen for arranging the contest! You have great patience with everyone and did a great job corralling "noobs" like me :P

That is what is so great about these contests and sharing pics over in the Showcase section! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

I've lifted great ideas from my neighbors and I would be remiss if I didn't mention this Adipose Clip:

I took a lot from this show. Plus this was a fun one as it's from a few months back. The blasted wheel...the snow...and a look at a few great neighbourhoods, including legendary designer: MelDesigner. Sorry Mel, had no idea you were a woman. Does that make me sexist? It's just "Mel" triggers the brain to Mel Gibson, Brooks, Blanc, Torme... :D

Good to know I wasn't the only one! :-) And for better or for worse, I am indeed a man (or rather a boy trapped in a man's body!).
