Tapped Out

I've been wondering if this will happen. Have you started a new town yet? Some people have more than one town. You can use what you learned in the first town to improve your second town.

I guess that doesn't work well for premium players (wasted donuts) but if you make it a free town only - that could be a new challenge.

Same here in fact I started a thread a while back about what used to thrill you but not any more!

I just hit the jackpot on the scratch r again and it was meh! 10,000 I earn that in ten minutes now! I spend more time reading the forum than playing the game!

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only spending more time here than the game :P

Their catch phrase for the game should be. "Come for the game, stay for the forum!" Lmao!:lol::lol:

This is exactly what I've done. In my first town, I spent a set amount per week in donuts and it was enough that I eventually had everything I wanted, premium or not. And in that town, I will continue to do so.

In my second town, I have been determined to be freemium. Arnie Pye was my first premium purchase there. It seemed like FOREVER to save those donuts. Aarrgghh. When I want to decorate an area, I'm always surprised to realize how many things cost donuts. In my first town, I barely noticed. It didn't matter there. I'd just buy it. In my second town it is FAR more challenging. A whole new way of thinking.

One aspect that I thoroughly enjoyed the second time around was that I knew approximately how much space I'd be wanting to leave free for certain upcoming buildings, and to set up very general "zones" in preparation for mansions, public buildings, grungy stuff, etc. I wasn't flying blind.

I still enjoy my main town more, but the second town is a completely different experience.

After finishing the 38 level 3 or 4 times, I was feeling that the pleasure of opening the game every couple of hours was gone. So I did what I do in real life: get a new goal in life, as the carrot that makes the donkey go on and on, you know the cartoon. I begin buying land, even if I was pretty content of my town. So I found something to care about again.

    Lol aw so cute! :D

As for the OP, I think one of my first ever posts was something similar to this. After whacking day last year everything just seemed like a bit of an anti-climax to me! The there was a Long wait till Halloween... But nowadays I'm fairly happy again, looking forward to another WD and spending too much time talking on here! :P

I been playing since last may so.. I'm fine with playing tsto for that long. I'm currently changing my Squidport so I'm waiting for those tiles one by one. I think if it's not that fun.. then maybe just play the updates and to keep up with limited time things, check sites to see what to expect like episode tie-ins. Log in during holidays to get the free item. So, that's what I would do if I only play twice a week like you. I can see what you mean about being burnt out though, I started when all the major updates passed so I didn't have much fun in the beginning.

After playing for 2years I have had moments where i didnt visit my town for a few days at a time but for the past few months i have been playing it everyday and trying to move items around to make my town better. This is the only phone game that i have played for this long and never been bored with :)

Burn out is a common thing, no matter what game/activity is involved.

Best thing to do is as Peony suggests. Keep in touch with current happenings only enough so as to not miss any limited time items (you'd risk frustrating yourself further if you did, trust me on that XD) and just enjoy the "break". Find something else to keep you occupied and eventually you may find yourself coming back more frequently with a renewed energy.

Not saying it will happen, but better to accept that you need the time away, than force yourself to play regularly and end up resenting the game altogether.

I guess OP just needs to find the right balance. I go through phases of playing constantly, to every couple of days, and once I was off for a week due to "technical issues" (ie: some jerk stole my phone!). I have to admit though, I think it's amazing that lots of people seem to have the commitment to run more than one town. The thought of having a feeder town to take care of (never mind 2 or 3 of them) freaks me out. I think I may end up getting divorced if I devote more time to TSTO!

What we need is a level update! (cant wait) Followed by a new Josh thread (cant wait :) )

Perhaps a Ratman Vs Josh thread to keep things interesting!! It will look something like this

OP I believe you heard some very good ideas from everyone above!
I have been at level 38 for a couple months now but my newest buiding/prop is the S.W.A.T. van. That's because I'm buying time by designing properly every new buiding and patiently acquiring the land. So in my opinion you should try to design your town and make many and different areas
