I can already hear the rants.

Before you go and do anything op you may want to skim through the tos as there is probably something written in there to protect ea from legal action. I've never read it myself, but I can safely assume ea has lawyers and the foresight to see issues like this arising. After all, it's not thier first shoddy product.

You are now ready to chat with Manish.
ManishThanks for contacting EA Customer Experience, my name is Manish. How may I assist you today?
youMy Tapped account was compromised again today (2nd time)
    ManishHello Chris.
ManishI know it is annoying but have you not changed your password and other things?
ManishI am sure that if you take steps on this link, you can ensure security.
    Manishhttps://help.ea.com/article/how-to-maintain-account-security
youThis is a well known glitch with the game, not a password/username issue. The security issue is a EA glitch
ManishI can see that your case was already escalated and you should get a reply from our team soon.
ManishChris, I will forward your feedback to our team so that we can fix any error on our end but have you changed your password and other information after you knew that your account was hacked?
youIt's not a "hack" Randomly people log into the wrong user's game. No username or password required. I've done it myself. But I have not been malicious while in the other person's game. It's on the server side, not the user.
ManishIf you do not share your information with anyone and also take steps on the link then there is no way, anyone can hack your account.
    ManishOh.
    ManishThank you for clearing.
ManishI will forward this to my supervisor so that they can look into it.
ManishFor the account hacked issue, may I transfer your chat to our senior team so that they can try to do something for you?
    youOK
    ManishThank you.
Please wait while we get this chat session where it needs to go.
You are now ready to chat with Chezara.
ChezaraHello, I am Chez with the specialist team here at EA. I will be taking over your case at this time. If you would please give me a moment while I go over your last chat correspondence so that I may assist you further.
ChezaraAt this time before we continue I would like to get you name please? That way I know who I’m chatting with.
    youChris
ChezaraHello Chris. How are you doing today? I see here that you are experiencing some issue with someone logging into you Simpsons tapped out game without your authorization. Is that correct.
    youCorrect
ChezaraAt this time I noticed that you are playing on an android device. Now as far as you can tell. Is there any changes in your log in information?
youNot since the last time this happened
ChezaraOK so at this point the XXXXXX is the correct email address for you?
    youyes
ChezaraAnd the password is still the same for you? Or do we need to send you a password reset to make the password stronger?
youPassword was changed---that's not the issue---If you look at your own forums there is a problem with people just being sent into the wrong (town) (someone else's game) when just simply logging into their own account. Then, some people like to be jerks and spend money and move things around. I was logged into someone else's account as well without having to provide any information. It's a glitch on EA's end....read the forums
ChezaraI'm aware of the issue but this was not stated in you notes so I was wanting to confirm the issue at this point in time. Let me look into this issue ans see what update the studio has provided us with.
    ChezaraHello. are you still there?
ChezaraAt this time since there has not been any correspondence with you at this time for 5 minutes I will leave the case open. But at this time I will need to disconnect this chat at this time. Thank you for contacting EA customer experience and have a nice day.
The chat session has ended. Please contact us again if you need further help.
You are not currently in a chat session.

So they booted me while she/he had the floor. The "Are you still there?" was about 20 seconds after their last post....not even asking for a response.....then they said it was 5 minutes and booted me

I really, really hate to make a new topic in the wrong category about this....but.....

So my town was invaded tonight (again). That's twice for me. Minimal damage this time, but non the less.

Last time EA gave me some donuts and said it wouldn't happen again....but it did.

    Devil's advocate and some theories....

I can find out easily how much money I have paid into this game, easily. Google play has list in "Your Account" section. In the US $500 warrants a felony charge.

Theoretically, my game was not hacked. No usernames, passwords were guessed, stolen or hacked. Servers from the provider have a glitch.

Hell, maybe even EA is removing the content themselves in order for us to spend more money (speculation of course) but since there is no explanation, take everything into account.

Now I contact EA and a few weeks later, I may get partial payment or credit. Nothing goes back to the way it was after I have spent my XXX monies. They can't access my game or make things right, just offer some donuts.

What about all that is lost? Is that not theft of services? Limited time items--hours on builds--in game currencies cleared?

Again, I hate to make another complaint on the boards about this, but this is twice for me now. When I file my ticket with EA this time, I will be sure to provide my dollars spent and the return. Collectively a class action law suit (I don't want to start something like that) would/could put a big dent in their wallet.

For everyone that lost $500+ of content (remind you--you were not hacked--it's their fault) that how many felony charges are they liable for?
dont pay real money for bits

Get a lawyer and sue them.

The computer nerd in me would love a full explanation from ea as to how this is happening. My guess the servers were never intended for the amount of people that actually play this game now and have never been updated.

If it were me, I'd look into reporting them to the BBB. Surely they could help out since this has been an ongoing issue that isn't being dealt with, and the fact that it's happened twice to you already.

I wouldn't try to interpret the TOS. A lawyer might put something in there saying you agree not to sue, hoping that you will never test it. The fact that their lawyers wrote it, doesn't make it true. I have no knowledge as to what a judge or jury is likely to say. If I had questions, I would go to a lawyer.

Apple and Google have a lot more money for lawyers than EA does. Apple recently had trouble over IAPs and Google is facing the IAP issue now.

For all we know, malicious children are cyber attacking EA servers to create mayhem all day.

How would we know? Surely they wouldn't bring attention to it.

My sympathies to those who've had to deal with this issue. Hopefully they will eliminate it soon.

But until it is corrected, EA should be in full CYA mode and be extra accommodating to victims. The dialog above is an unfortunately all too typical response from today's customer service
