visits by my neighbors do nothing to effect my righteousness rating, even if they graffiti

And what does it matter if my righteousness goes down one day. It's back up by the next day.

Okay, this just proves my point further. Neighbours give you absolutely nothing.

The "Apology" threads telling everyone that that particular person is not going to visit/play for a while are getting a little annoying. There are currently 3 out of 9 post on the front page explaining this. I get that you feel bad and would like to explain yourself and that's fine. But, I think it would be better done through PM's. The treads are usually directed to 5 to 10 people and the chances those people will actually see the thread are small as well. Maybe that can be merged into one generic thread or something.

i have to agree with this.

who cares if you are not visiting your neighbors?

it benefits the person doing the visiting much more than the person being visited. It is always nice to see people have visited but honestly i could care less if they did or not.
I only visit neighbors because it helps me

OK so you don't like the friends thing but it's more than grafitiing the four buildings- visiting friends is for the benefits that you get from the holiday updates and now the FP bonuses. That's in addition to the money and XP you get from the actions which piles up to about 2,500 XP and $25,000 or $9,000 and 810 FP PER DAY.

If you have a problem with visiting friends then don't visit them and don't accept invites just play solo but you are missing out on a chunk of the game.

^^^^ exactly. I don't do it to look at your town, I click on the first three buildings I see, and then I leave because I get something out of it. Not to visit you.

You completely missed the point of this thread.

Side note, when you've played since the beginning, 25000 is nothing.

Actually I got the main point of the thread and can't argue against it- that's something that should be done in private and making threads announcing you are leaving is just being overly dramatic. I was pointing out something that was overlooked in the complaining.

And the XP/money is nothing to longtime players but it's still a hell of a big thing to a lot of players.

When neighbours don't visit I declare a vendetta and hire hackers to hack their town, sell all of their buildings, delete all of their neighbours, create childish messages using hedges and spend all of their donuts on speeding up The Simpsons house.

(FOR LEGAL REASONS I AM JOKING)

There are a couple people (you are one) that i do take a look around at their town to see what is going on. but you know i am not going to spend 5 minutes looking around to find something to graffiti just so you can get an extra 1FP.

I actually visits all my friends when i am max level of FP and of course during events but right now i cant be bothered with the last 180 actions for 1FP each. to me the chance of a donut from regular taps is more incentive to visit all neighbors.

I do a fast swirl through each town before tapping. If I see something to graffiti I do so, but if I see it graffitied already I just tap what's closest.

I do the same sometimes. Depends on what kind of mood I'm in and how much time I have. But I will graffiti a building over a normal building if the opportunity arises.

Why do people feel the need to apologize for not visiting neighbours? Who cares?
I actually do give a swut that one of my neighbors is in the hospital getting operations on his spine. It's not like we're super close friends or anything, but he's still a human being in pain and I hope he gets better soon.

I visit every day my neighbours. It helps me to get some donuts for free. And it helps my neighbours to get their prizes.
I take the time to search for buildings to graffiti. And if the are very good neighbours or beginners, I visit their towns twice or three times, if there is nothing to spray. :-)

From what I've read on this forum, I've gathered that some people have strict standards for their neighbors and will let them go if they do not meet said standards. Perhaps the extra worry stems from fear that if it seems like they are inactive for even the briefest amount of time they will be deleted and be left neighborless.

I actually visited every one of neighbors in one sitting last night for the first time since about Saturday. I probably only make it through the whole list once or twice a week, but I visit some nearly every day.

I kept track of who had anything open to tap or graffiti, and I could collect fps from about 75% of my neighbors, but thanks to EA's step down system for fps you can collect each day, I was able to collect 92% of all of the possible fps I could from my neighbors.

I like EA's fp system because the % lost is so small, we're not penalized all that much for missing neighbors each day. Missing that small of an amount maybe puts me a few days behind on earning the fp prizes than others who visit all their neighbors each day, but I don't mind.

Likewise, the impact of fps I get from cleaning graffiti is so small (max 4-8 points a day for me since I don't log on every few hours) that I don't mind if my neighbors don't graffiti even if they can.
