Dog Race

It's total chance, you can't just win. The odds are not even right. It is one of the most annoying buildings in my opinion!

It's easy to win the dog races. Bet about 20 times, you're sure to win at least once. Then you can say you won betting on the dog race.

If you are rolling in cash and not maxed out in XP, you can use it to buy a little XP every hour, that's about the only thing it's good for.

The chances are totally stacked against you whichever odds you play.
    It's pure luck to win.

No lie - the first 3 times I did the Springfield Downs race - I bet on the $25,000 dog and won.

So needless to say, I thought I had some sort of glitch and/or beginner's luck.

I didn't win again for the next 7-8 tries or so.

But I did finally do it again today. Its total luck. I just lucked out at the beginning!

Yeah, the first two times I've played, I picked the 2nd dog. Won both times! Thought that maybe that's just how it worked, or there was a glitch/beginner's luck, so I looked here on the forum for other people's experiences,NAND realized that I was just VERY lucky. Won't play anymore, the chances of losing are just too great and the payout isn't all that much (at least on the races I've won). Not worth it! Unless you're just playing for fun and have money to waste...but it's not like actual races where you get to watch, so not much fun in my opinion.

The only way to win, is to not play.

MoopsDude provides the best anecdote when it comes to the dog races... he used it to purposefully lose money to fix his game when he topped $10 million and the build menu stopped working. So there you have it. In the end, you will lose.
