I gave up waiting about 4 or 5 hours ago. But at that point it only cost me 30 donuts instead of 36. And I bought the Crazy Cat Lady. I don't regret either decision :D

Other than the whacking day event, no event took Long to complete. I feel skipping the 24 hour ask isn't worth it in my opinion. I am waiting the 24 hours with you brother.

I'm waiting but by my lunch time tomorrow (I'm on Eastern) I think it will be down to 6 or 12 donuts so I *might* speed up then, so I can play on break.

I'm used to it. I've always had to wait to begin an event. It's also good because I'll be able to visit all my neighbors by then.

In the long run it's really just a waste of donuts to speed it up to start the event slightly sooner. Events are always able to be completed before its time runs out... so a slight bit of patience allows you to save 36 donuts... Im totally going to save them and spend those donuts on something useful (new character, building, etc).

I'm waiting because that way I'll have more things to do towards the end of the month instead of coming here and reading all the "when do you think the next update will come" crap we have to read.

    you are not alone

I am waiting also. I have never had a problem finishing an event and saving 30+ donuts for something cool is OK with me.

I'm waiting.. I still have another 20 hours to wait :(

I've only ever sped it up once and that was for Halloween because i had the day off and was too impatient. I would probably speed it up again if it was just the 12 donuts but no way paying 36. I will just wait.

I'm also waiting and not speeding up the tasks. 36 donuts is quite a lot, especially when I'm not sure what it'll get me in return. I'm also a bit perplexed. Does finishing the 24 task mean that the Easter event will start? The screen has an image of Homer dressed as an Easter bunny, however the task has to do with Whacking Day. Are they combining the two events?

I am not speeding it up. I'm not clear on whether the eggs replace standard fps or not, but I only have about 250 fps to go before I get the goofball, and even though he doesn't do anything, I'd rather get him tonight instead of waiting for nearly a month to get those last points. I have downloaded the Easter update, and I had a couple of friends I was able to visit today that I couldn't get to last night. So far, despite having Homer, Apu, and Willie on the first task, I've gotten standard fps on visits. The bulk of my friend visits and the reset of the fps back to the initial 10 per tap is in a couple of hours for me.

I've decided to try to patiently grind out this event (we'll see how long it lasts).

I'm waiting, and I know I'm in the minority but I don't mind. If it's anything like the other big events (Christmas, Valentines) I'll be nice and tired of it by the end so why waste donuts starting it any earlier?

    *SPOILERS*

Their is no whacking day. They decide to bop/zap bunnies instead and collect eggs. And the event begins but it's a long grind to collect 500 of the three different colored eggs (pink, blue, gold) to unlock prizes. You collect eggs from tapping bunnies and visiting friends towns. I already did my rounds for the day (And most of neighbors haven't started collecting eggs yet anyway) so hopefully the eggs will come quicker tomorrow.
