Don't look a gift horse in the mouth I'd say. Be thankful that you've got something to offset the annoyance of having your town reset (most don't get such a luxury). Use it as an opportunity to build a killer town from the ground up!
I've gotten this before. I was stuck on 15 so I kept getting Homer Buddhas. Never got a building, but got 150 donuts a couple times. It wasn't right when my town got reset, but about 2 months later. It made me feel better about spending money on the game, as I kinda feel like I got a discount now :P
Also purchased:
Kearney (60)
Moleman (60)
piece of crap car (?)
reindeer (20)
ambulance (30)
tyre fire (40?) = 200 donuts+
Also sped up a few tasks.
Is this 500 or so donuts my compensation for having my Springfield deleted?
Assume you just got one reindeer? Or was it 20?
If it was 20 i would love to see a screen shot!!
haha, no, the numbers in brackets are the donuts paid for the item, although the sight of 60 Hans Molemans getting a football in the groin would be fantastic...

That's actually an interesting case study. What were the results of buying all those Buddhas?
So far I've got 2 lots of 30 donuts, 2 tyre swings, 2 apple trees and a dumpster.
I just checked the thread I started when I got this glitch. It was actually about 20+ homer buddhas that I was able to buy.
4 benches
6 burning bushes
4 orange trees
2 tree swings
2 60-donuts
1 30-dounts
1 flower planter
Hans Moleman
5 10-white fences
2 mystery boxes
i got:
5 apple trees
1 dumpster
2 flower planters
5 tree swings
5 wooden fences
2 30 donuts
so 20 buddhas = 300 donuts
