I'm not a gambler. I quit gambling in Las Vegas after winning $4. It was boring. I haven't done the dog track more than a handful of times. I find these Easter boxes to be completely tedious.
As far as the prizes go, I'm easy to please. I want everything. I've been able to get all of the prizes during every other event. I want this ancient and noble tradition to be upheld.
There was speculation that TSTO was planning a blockbuster update to overshadow the new upstart. Apparently not. Maybe this event is some massive joke that I'm just not getting. I'm sure I'll laugh later.
My sentiments exactly. I have been playing tapped out since day one and this is the worst update ever. Last whacking day was great, why change great?
If people only play these games to get everything they must be the most boring people on earth.
Have you never been to a funfair as a kid? Or did you have to be dragged out by your parents because you couldn't get your head round not being handed prizes.
EA doesn't put a gun to your head to play this game. Furthermore it doesn't put a gun to your head to spend donuts. And when you do, it gives you what you've paid for, whether that's a character/a building/a decoration/event currency.
And regarding the last thing, that's the point. You're buying event currency, you're not buying the prize. Just the event currency. If by some glitch you didn't get the amount you'd paid for I could understand complaining, but that's not the issue here. You're complaining about not getting the prices. Instantly. And that's not what's on offer.
WD was a pain in the rear end, and I never thought I would say that I would miss it, but I do. I liked knowing that if I took the time for 100 friends and checked in frequently for my own snakes, I WOULD get everything. It bothers me (and I am a paying customer, way toooo much money) that I can spend oodles of time and tons of donuts buying truckloads of eggs and baskets and egg generators and STILL not get Sharrie Bobbins (sp?) which will cause me to have a massive toddler-like tantrum (not that anyone cares).
Agreed completely. These games of chance have got to go.

This is the primary source of most of our frustration, from what I gather.

Understood, and this gets us back on topic. This approach isn't fun. The people spending donuts on chances to win prizes would likely just rather have the opportunity to buy the limited time items outright. Spending money for a chance is beyond frustrating, and that's what this model is forcing players into.
I miss the old event style, when you could choose to buy the items you wanted with the event currency you'd earned. That's preferable over getting a bunch of things you don't want and can't sell to clog up your inventory.
I tried reading this whole thread, but i felt i was about to vomit in my mouth a little.
The main points i scanned were:
- i don't like to play games unless i already know i am going to win
- I've won everything in the past so i expect to do so now
- I'm easy to please, i want everything
- I'm accustomed to buying my way through anything but now i can't
Aw so sad the entitled!!
Save them, Jebus!!!!!!!
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
So far in about 18 months playing this game I've been able to get everything. If I'm unable to complete this event or come reasonably close I think it'll give me a reason to finally release the "life-ruining" death grip this game has on me and call it quits. Maybe EA designed this event as a detox for tapped out addicts to get clean.
Up until this event, all of us freemium players could easily clear the events without spending a donut. I really see zero chance of being able to clear this. In 13 spins I have: 2 ponds, 3x sections of fence, rabbit man, 7x gold eggs...I understand Ea needs to make money but I think this strategy will lose freemium players rather then increase profit.
Someone playing this game for free has to accept that he/she will not get all the good stuff. Where is the problem?
And if a freemium player throws the device against the wall and stops playing - what harm does that to EA? Less people to take care of (also freemium player want (free) support from EA) and the ratio paying customers : freemies is turning into EA's favor.
I think that EA has a good game here for both paying and free customers. I see no problem in the gameplay. (The only problem I have is that this §%&# game crashes all the time on my Galaxy Tab. This IS a problem.)
Numbers matter and Easter really, REALLY sucks. Actually, this is one of the most negatively received events of any game I've ever played. The problem with Easter is probably exacerbated by the resource strain of the Tapped Out team as well as their weak math and programming skills.
Negatively received in this very forum? Come on. Like the few posters here are representative to the much much much greater lot that is playing this game. Don't take yourself so important. In fact: this complaining goes on in every fan-based forum where the fans/addicted players think that their opinion is so important. And when something doesn't go the way they like, EVERYTHING REALLY, REALLY SUCKS.
Get over it. Please. This would help all the people that newly started this game and are baffled by this hate against an innocent update that goes on in here.
I've always kind of prided myself on being able to obtain all event items as a freemium, but even if I can't on this event I still won't be spending a penny on this game.
If people only play these games to get everything they must be the most boring people on earth.

I'm sorry but do you even hear yourself right now?
This event is a prettied up gambling game. Just because you trade dollars for eggs to do your gambling doesn't mean it's not gambling.
Let me sum this up:
Normal purchase
150 donuts are paid.......... In return you get Frinks lab.
Gambling purchase
100 donuts spent on x amount of eggs (currency transfer)
X amount of eggs used to open up a box with......... Y item.
Y item worth anywhere from 5-150 donuts.
This isn't gambling?
This reminds me of the stories of people who'd cheat the system on anti gambling laws in the. US during the late 1800s.
Also you don't seem to get that NO ONE IS ASKING FOR HANDOUTS FROM EA. All we want is a fair system like the one we had before. The old system DID NOT GUARANTEE everyone would get everything. It only guaranteed that you would get everything if you played the event everyday the way it was meant to be played.
Get it now? Or does someone need to explain this in simpler terms?
