The Dead Zone

No, not THAT dead zone, but the one on my iPad mini. Between the town change arrows on the upper left and the basket button on the upper right of my screen, I can't tap anything. It's completely dead to the touch. I keep tapping those eggs up there for naught. Really getting irritating.

I have this problem as well. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I have a galaxy S4 and have this problem. My husband doesn't have this problem and he has the galaxy S3. My friend with an iphone 5S doesn't have this problem either. :?

Got this problem too. Can't scroll or tap anything there.
After I clear a town, it works again.

    Playing on an Android system.

    Same here on iPad mini.

Weird and annoying bug, but not the end of the world.

It happens on my iPad. I've also noticed it when playing Megapolis. It's much worse with that game because the areas in which you have to tap are so small.

yea apparently a BUNCH of people are getting these dead zones on their devices which dont recognize our touch or scrolling motion.

Me too. But never noticed it until tonight. For a second thought I'd have to get my screen replaced but then saw it worked fine in my town.

Strange. Sometimes the screen doesn't respond, but sometimes it does.
    I hope EA fixes this.

    Same here.
    Android.
Thought it was my phone's RAM or so.
The scrolling often is not smooth in neighbour's town: the screen almost jumps from one part to the next.

Same here! I thought I was crazy because the space used to be tappable. On S3 Android.

I recently noticed this as well and then remembered seeing this post. really annoying. I'm just glad it's not a problem with my actual screen.

Good to know its a game problem and not a device problem. I was worried my device's touchscreen was wonky.

After that hotfix yesterday it went away for me for awhile... then came back as I'm visiting neighbors later in the day. Haha. Also 4.8 fixed my really long load time of about 70-80 seconds but after the hotfix the longer load times are coming back. So weird.
