Man, I am so annoyed with the Easter thing. I swap box after box, but have gained not a single interesting item yet (buildings). All I get is fences (but not enough) and often golden eggs, which, after I swap them, give me something useless like a tree or something, or like a minute ago, some picket fences. What a waste of 2500 pink eggs (5 x 500 pink eggs = 5 boxes, giving 100 gold. 500 gold for the box)
Man, I want that Banana thing, or the Blocko Store (actually, that last one, because I can't get the consumerism to go above 4.5)

That would be playing with fire... while the mocking of us now and again is annoying but harmless fun that maybe going a bit too far now, events like these are killing the enjoyment of the game for many players, not all players of course, but many, EA need to know this. A company that loses the business of it's customer because of a bad product, it's just not good for EA, and they already seem to have a reputation that is going downhill judging by posts i've seen online by people.
We still have a week to go, and unless EA does some tweaking we may see critical mass with player frustration. I didn't think it was possible, and I'm not a doomsayer, but this could mark the beginning of the end for the life of this game.
I'm not sure how many loyal (paying) fans would tolerate many more events set up like this.

you can add multiples the Quickie Mart and that'll make your consumerism go up and as you get these other buildings and you can delete said Quickie Mart you can also hide them behind large buildings see you don't have an ugly town.

I have a few KEM's in my town 4 i think, and i now have an issue with storing any of them, as it tells me no matter which one i choose that i will store Apu :evil: I will have to store all of them and then put them back one by one to work out which one he relates too lol
I have said screw it and stopped playing this event. I still clear my town of bunnies and click on handshakes so my neighbors can continue to try and unlock everything. This marks the first update that I haven't gotten everything and I have been playing since the days of the Duff racer. I only have Shary bobbins left but am just feed up with trading pink for blue them blue for gold to get pink eggs or a tree back.

This was a concern because anyone with tasks at KEM suddenly lost them (greyed out). In the end, i sold all of them and bought another to free up Apu. It was the only option i had. It worked. I had plenty of in game cash so wasn't too bothered about spending on it. At least now i only have one of every building (with the exception of houses - we need more houses, different styles, colours, new houses for characters etc, much needed in the game)
I think that the entire issue with the event could be fixed if the baskets weren't random, too.
you get a basket of each color, it stays forever, and friends can put eggs in it until it is full- then you have to clear it to make more room.
it would encourage people to play, it would allow people to set up swaps, etc. and encourage people to interact more with their neighbors.
I can't do anything to help out a friend who hasn't found a basket in five days any more than they can help me. At least during Whacking Day we could set it up and help whoever needed it. Now there is chance involved in EVERY aspect- from the prizes down to the ability to help out friends
My 'main' game is doing pretty well. I have all but Sherry Bobbins and Father Sean. It's required 'playing/checking' at least 4 times a day since the event started, and I bought the egg generating machine (75 donuts) and cat lady (24 hour egg generating task). It's been a stretch, but i've slowly gotten most items. I've resigned to the fact that i will not get Sherry or Sean. I've enjoyed the event for the most part, but you gotta spend dough(nuts).
My 'secondary' game is purely freemium. I buy nothing and only check it once a day (during events) otherwise once a week. That game is a complete drag. I have NO content (No Blocko, egg guy, Fiesta Restaurant or any gold egg items save a pastel fence or two). It's taken about a week to get enough gold eggs, and of the 3-4 spins since the beginning of the even I've gotten all garbage (just fences on gold, and ponds/trees out of blue and pink). I don't care, as it's a town for visiting and trading (eggs, goblins, presents, whatever)
I'm a believer in spending a little real money to make TSTO more fun, but if you're a Freemium player then it's bad. Real bad. I've lost at least half of my friends due to this event, whose towns are stagnant. In addition, I've spent probably $20 on this event and it was still a struggle to get stuff. I'm not really complaining, as i choose to spend money, but if you play for free it's bad news on the Easter event.
Christmas, in my opinion, was really good. It had a bunch of free content that you could get just by playing. The more you play the more you gain. It also had a spinning wheel (i'm in the minority of people that actually kind of like it), and you automatically got a gold token each day for one free spin.
I guess my point is that the main problem w/ Easter is that you could potentially play it every day and not get any good items (as w/ my Freemium game), and from a business perspective that's going to lose a lot of players.

I find this informative and also eye-popping to demonstrate how incredibly unfair this Easter update really is. So everyone has a common egg color and an uncommon color. The common color prizes essentially break down to a 10% chance to win the two things people actually want (for instance, in the pink category, most people want the lizards and the blocko store.) To calculate your odds of NOT getting these prizes in a certain number of spins, you can take the percentage of not getting a prize(s) and then multiply to power of the number of "spins." So let's say you want to know what your chance is of NOT winning either the blocko sore or the lizards in 40 "spins" (that's 20000 pink eggs). You have a 90% chance of NOT winning either in any given "spin." So after 40 "spins" you have a 1.5% chance of not getting either if pink is your common color. (0.90^40 = 0.0147) Now, if you do the same thing for your uncommon color, it's a 95% chance of NOT getting either prize and over 40 "spins," you get a chance of NOT getting either good prize of nearly 13%!!!!! (0.95^40 = 0.1285) So that means if you actually manage to collect 20000 of each egg color, you have a 13% chance of not getting all four "regular" prizes. The numbers are even worse for the gold. You have a 45% chance of getting gold eggs out either your common or uncommon "spins." That means that if you collect your 20000 of each color, 18 "spins" each will give you gold eggs. And common spins give you 100 eggs, while uncommon spins give you 300. So ([100*18] + [300 * 18] = 7200 gold eggs. Giving you 14 spins on the gold box. So the chance of you NOT getting the gold prizes on 14 spins is as follows:

I was visiting neighbors, starting at A, and at one point my game kept glitching, maybe around the middle of M. So I decided to flip through to Z and work backward. (There's a point to this, I promise.) I noticed that when I got to M, it started glitching again. Instead of using my arrow, I backed out to see where I was, when I noticed that the only neighbor I couldn't visit had roughly 114,000 of both blue and pink eggs. I did my math, and realized that, in order to get that many eggs, you would have to spend exactly $100.00... and exactly what EA wants... just to get these 'amazing' pixilated prizes. Honestly, this broke my heart. I bought eggs, as well. (Thanks to an Amazon coin sale, I managed to buy quite a few... at roughly half the price.) But for some reason, seeing those eggs really hit home for me... and I felt utterly ashamed doing roughly the same thing. (Regardless of the fact that I got the coins on sale, the donuts were still worth $100.)
Now, I didn't blow the whole thing on eggs. Not even close. And I still have a lot left. But still... I'm not feeling very good about this at all.

these games make EA money yes. EA makes more money on console games they sell. So one game isnt gonna break EAs bank account by far. I do agree the event coukd have been handled different. I dont have everything and ive really just given up on it. Dont care to have everything at this point.
All I have left is one of the topiaries, now have 3 of one of them, Shary and the Hugs Bunny. I have had so many fences, beach towels, ponds and trees. I still have no faberge egg, my bf got it literally ten bunnies after he finished the main quest.

i am just wondering, that i got 2 baskets only for changing eggs with neighbors, since this event has started and i play it on daily basis... Otherwise i have spent no donuts at all for eggs and achieved so far hugs bunny, the fiesta building and banana building.
Blue is my standard colour and to be true i am not interested in any additional item there so i have to change all into pink.. What i really hate is the fact that i have to spend hours and hours for collecting eggs and than i am loosing half of them for swap and other people get them for free from me.. And i get no baskets to maybe get support as well
I don´t wanna have all items, but the current requested effort to get any boxes does not reflect the chances to get items!!! And i dont wanna have 300 times stupid little easter eggs as a deko, this is frustrating because collecting was again waste of time....
