Lag and the new update

and you got lucky because all mine does is crash the login screen on both devices it's probably because I have all the premium content in the game and I have a huge city with every character but how is that my fault

It doesn't feel completely smooth, but all in all the bug seems to have been fixed.

I'm on android.

I'm on apple and still no better for me, using iPhone5 which always worked brilliantly

I haven't been able to get into my game since the initial update to remove Easter. Was really hoping that this second update would help, but no.

It starts updating, the donut spins for a while then it just crashes again.

I have filed a ticket with EA and they're being completely non-responsive.

For me, it's no longer lagging in areas where no one (or maybe one character) is on a visible task. So my squidport is still unplayable, but elsewhere is ok. Of course this solution is not great for people who still need to earn money. I can afford to let the majority of characters just roam free,

Yep, no change in the lag for me either, still as bad as it was last night when i went into my town to clear handshakes

I downloaded the update and the lag seems to be gone from my main town but not in my neighbors' towns. It's a real pain to collect money and XP.

Like I said, it's mostly fixed for me.

Started crashing a smidgen more often than I am used to though

Some towns have no lag at all, some have terrible. Mine is in the middle.

Still major lag despite the extra update. Makes me no longer want to play as the lag irritates the life out of me.

After visiting my neighbours I have to admit that my statement was premature.

While my own town seems stable with only the occasional jerk, some of my neighbours' town are still a disaster.
Two times I had to force close the game because I couldn't leave the town's.

Specially when all the characters were on indoor tasks and the game sent them outside ( a leftover from VD), it was almost impossible to move around in the town and tap anything.

Mine are still lagging like crazy. Both on a Nexus 7 and an iPhone 5.
