I haven't been around for one of these years sales yet. How does it work?
They release a bunch of items from episodes from the previous season. Examples of things they could release include Bus from the warriors episode, Otto Bus, Republican Party Headquarters, Gypsy trailer, Diggs (if we're that lucky)
Sorry, I haven't been playing that long. How often does this happen? How will I see it if it happens this week?
Well they did the first one after the season finale last year. So everyone is hoping they do one again this year since we just had the season finale. If they do one (which they should) you'll get an update and we should get all the items in a new yard sale category.
I hope they do, but let's try not to get our hopes up, in case the items they put up aren't that great, or they don't do one at all. They might opt to go for something completely different in an update, they seem to like surprising us.
Buildings and task characters are probably wishful thinking, last year it was all quirky decos and taskless creatures.
One more question, and I promise to check the autocorrect this time. Last year, were the items selling for donuts or monies?
Both. Most were donuts, but two of the items were for cash, the Laramie Vending Machine, and the Devil Donuts cart. That second one shows us that just because an episode already had a tie-in, ( The Cool Brown House in that case), doesn't mean the sale won't have another item from the same episode.
I really hope theyre gonna do a yard sale that'll give us newer players the chance to get some old episode tie in goodies. The Fruit Batman signal, Gorgeous Grandpa stuff and the Supercollider specifically.
There will be no yard sale until they fix the crash issue. Imagine the amount of rage if people can't access their towns DURING the yard sale. That would be ridiculous.

The yard sale will consist of 6 boxes to open. Three will give each player a special tree. Or a pond. The other three will contain wheels that will offer, in reality, trees or ponds. Each box will cost 20 donuts to open but can be opened multiple times.
There will be some excellent items as well but a 0.05% chance of getting one unless you buy 100 boxes and spin 50 wheels in which case these excellent items will be 'free'.

I'm guessing that as well but perhaps take down on Tuesday, yard sale starts on Wednesday. We'll see.
I think the Tie-in will probably end tomorrow or Tuesday. But them releasing the Yard sale on Wednesday would be great.

I know it wont happen, but a tapper can dream...
Good point
That would be funny if they did it right (needs a yard sale table as an extra item)
 Trust you to notice it needs the table
Good idea
