Are you downloading an app? It always ask for a password for an app, another could be if your trying to make an in app purchase. You need to ask iTunes if the problem persists.
That's when it started. I was buying doughnuts and got kicked out. I haven't been able to open since. Deleted app and did a reinstall to no avail.
Contact iTunes directly. Something similar happened to me once when buying gift certificates online. I called and they did some magic on their end to rectify the problem. I was able to do what I wished after that.
