Decrease incentives to go to KL?
Maybe it's so we spend our tickets inside as opposed to bringing them out...but there's only so much you can/need to buy there anyway.
I've never understood why anyone would want to do this anyway. It's so much easier to earn cash than it is to earn tickets. If anyone had any tickets saved up why would they convert them when you have to send a character on an hour long task 5 times just to buy a tree?

I wouldn't send characters there, but would cash in my tix for cash, convert that into weather stations, level up and get donuts.
Perhaps this is in preparation for something? (Fingers crossed!!)

Because 99% of people have bought all the land, items, and decorations that are possible. The last item was the police car which was a very low amount of tickets, and the one before that was months ago. I was raking in about 2,500-3,000 tickets each day only visiting once on those days. My Krustyland had been built and finished since about the 2nd week after we got it. There simply isn't any use for the tickets other than money until we get a substantial update just for Krustyland.
I can still do it but im not at the part where i start gathering emblems yet. Will be there in an hour or a a few hours at most. Will check back then.
Doesnt really bother me tbh. I never used that feature. Have enough money in SF and just save the tickets for when new KL content is released. If that ever happens.
update: event has started and i cant exchange any more. So, thats it!
Max lvl and 5 star KL. Maybe they changed the requirements.
I haven't turned tickets into cash for a while, how do we do it again? I tapped the Krustyland entrance and it didn't say anything about converting tickets to cash.

Ah, a fair point. I'm still building the lodge.
/sarcasm
My KL has been a ghost town for ages, for all I know they could have taken this feature out a year ago.

Nope, my lodge is still under construction. Strange that they would have that stop, but then again I don't know what the event entails yet.
I don't send characters to KL anymore but I still collect tickets. I've got roughly 250K, but also have $14M cash so no need to trade them.

But like others have said, maybe this means they will be doing something big in KL this summer
