EA is purposely making it so while you can get the entire task list done you are more compelled to buy donuts to get the generators, while also at the same time making it so it is realistically possible to finish all tasks in a day.
About the only people who could take advantage of the eratic task lengths are those of us who are light sleepers and who normally split their sleep into shorter periods than 8-straight hours.
If I slept alone I could wake up when I needed to, tap and go back to sleep no problem, but as it stands that would lead to me getting yelled at a lot lol!
Must have been asked already, but couldn't find it.....when you start a number 1 task, but it doesn't end before the end of the day, will it still count? :?:
Ok, the answer was just above....and it's no....thanks for ignoring me.
Today's tasks were okay as far as timing is concerned. Unfortunately I Had an extreme busy day and missed pretty much all of it.
But hey, that's my own fault.
Darn real life getting in the way of your online game! Priorities, Elian! Priorities!
But seriously, I hope we are able to get ahead of the curve so that if we miss a final daily task we aren't scrambling to finish the 34,000 the final day. I know they are working against us, but I also hope they are making it so that it's not a huge blow if we run out of time once or twice...
i already know im probably not gonna make it since i will be on vacation for the last 2 weeks. Ill probably tap every now and then from that sunny island but certainly not all those tasks every day,
No no, you need to tap everyday, otherwise I'll need to get rid of you as my friend....

Well at least you have a very valid reason that nobody could fault you for 8)
Yes, I can confirm now that my order for June 7 was 4-2-4-1, so the calendar's you're seeing out there aren't necessarily the same for all of us. On the calendar I saw there is a 2-1-4-4 but that's not until June 16th. I didn't start late and I've cleared all my tasks before midnight so far as well.
I was just about to post the same thing. June 7th was a 4-2-4-1 day for me (in the US), which means the calendars are all wrong. On the one hand, this is good, because maybe there won't be so many 20 hour days; on the other hand, if I don't have some warning as to which are the 20 hour days, I'll never complete them.
I hope someone clears this up (the calendar confusion) at some point.
Explaining how I came to this conclusion would make my brain explode, but I DID figure out a way to make certain we are able to complete a day's tasks without relying on that calendar.
It assumes that the maximum number of task hours is 20 in one day. Thus, we can only "waste" 4 hours ...
It entails, of course, staying up until midnight to set Task One, at which time we learn the length for that task.
If Task One is 6 hours long, then after setting it we could theoretically sleep until almost 10AM to set the next one. If so, we have "wasted" our four hours. We could complete the remaining 14 hours of tasks in the 14 hours remaining that day, ending at midnight, which leaves us conveniently awake (rolls eyes) to set the next days first task.
If, however, Task One is only 4 hours long, we MUST set Task Two before 8AM, s we would need to be early risers. Once again, the 4 hours we can afford to "waste" have been used up whilst we slept.
And if Task One is a two-hour task, we roll over and go back to sleep until the Blowtorch Emporium opens and then check in here to decide who's driving, and who's bringing the beer.
My hope would be that whatever pattern is set for the day is the same around the world, and that we can suck up to our European friends to tell us what the remaining task lengths are. Or better yet, if we have not yet alienated the entire Australian continent, someone from way over there can tell us, since they're perpetually living in tomorrow.
USA/UK Race To Throw Country Into Utter Chaos = TOO CLOSE TO CALL
I've been staying up until midnight to get a jump on the day's tasks. (I know, I'm nuts.)
Yea ive been doin this too!! Haha
Well, I made it all the way to 10:19PM and that's as far as I'm gonna make it. Looks like I miss out on those 400 emblems if its a 20 hour task day ... Unless husband will wake me at 3:30 am, which is his typical wake-up time. Hmmm.

When I downloaded the update I was in a different time zone- (-8hrs gmt) Basically my 'midnight' is now 8 am where I live- gtm.... I think it's a good thing, certainly makes the early tasks easier
So far, today (Sunday) is 1-2, so it's definitely not the 20 hour killer that was foretold by the calendar of lies.
Yeah, I noticed that it was off...are these people getting their numbers directly from the game files? Their own predictions about what could be coming? Or are they just creating combinations out of all possible combinations of 1, 2, 4, and 6 hour tasks?

Yes, they said the calendar info was in the game files and two different sites came out with the same calendar (TSTO Topix and TSTO Addicts). Clearly, there's something unusual going on or they both misread the game files in the same way.

Jammy!
Edit: I just realised "Jammy" is really local so you might not know what it means. It's basically saying "you lucky person, how did you arrange that?!"

Gotcha. Odd that the schedule changed if it's in the files unless it was changed by the fixing of the Number 1 glitch...

It would appear to be beneficial :P
However it merely makes up for the 4 days I missed by being on holiday 8)

Maybe not, but having it happen multiple times could mean the difference between getting and not getting the last prize which a lot of people want.

Isn't the longest task 6 hours? That'll give it about 13 hours total for the entire task...
