The multiplayer first person shooters are just variations of the same basic principle: shooting at each other, blowing each other up, stabbing each other. Then you add in the ability to trash talk with people thousands of miles away.

It's been this way with those kind of games since Doom came out.

I haven't played it yet, what's the draw of the series over other games?

    Microsoft recap

    Forza Horizon 2 Trailer
Microsoft announced Forza Horizon 2 earlier this month. Set for release this autumn, the Xbox One and Xbox 360 sequel will take place in southern Europe with gameplay centralised around a music festival.

It will include hundreds of cars, headlined by the 2015 Lamborghini Hurac?n. A weather system will make its series debut, while Forza 5's Drivatar system is also being adapted for inclusion.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Gameplay
The demonstration done today appears to have been done on an Xbox One. Microsoft implied as much, anyway, as a player stood on stage with an Xbox One controller appearing to play the game live for an extended period of time.

    XBOX ONE?S UPCOMING ACHIEVEMENTS APP
During the pre-show of the Xbox E3 press briefing currently being held in Los Angeles Larry ?Major Nelson? Hryb announced a new Xbox One app that will add a lot of features to achievement tracking and more.

    Killer Instinct Season 2 Trailer
Killer Instinct will be receiving some new characters via a new Season 2 update from Double Helix and today, we finally got to see one of the newest characters: Boxer TJ Combo, who shows off his fisticuffs-heavy style in the newest trailer.

    Assassin's Creed Unity Gameplay
Ubisoft waltzed into Microsoft's E3 press conference to debut the first gameplay from Assassin's Creed: Unity.
Confirming the previously rumoured four player co-op multiplayer, the gameplay showed off some classic Assassin's Creed gameplay and truly impressive next gen visuals.

    Dragon Age 3 Inquisition Trailer (E3 2014)
During its E3 Press Conference, Microsoft announced that Dragon Age Inquisition "premiere content" will be coming first to Xbox.

    Sunset Overdrive Gameplay (E3 2014)
At Microsoft's E3 2014 conference today, the developer confirmed the release date alongside rumours for an 8-player online co-op mode called "Chaos Mode".
Sunset Overdrive marks Insomniac's first Xbox exclusive. After years of PlayStation exclusivity, Insomniac released Fuse at a multiplatform game, and then opted to make Sunset Overdrive an Xbox exclusive

Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix
Via a bizarre trailer, Capcom and Microsoft have announced Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha at Microsoft?s E3 presentation. I?m not kidding.
A DLC pack that turns Dead Rising 3 into a 4-player beat-em-up, Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha is available right now exclusively on Xbox One at a price of $9.99. The over-the-top trailer showed off the DLC?s addition of countless Capcom characters, like Ryu, Haggar, and Captain Commando, which can be worn by any of the game?s four characters; Nick, Amy, Chuck or Frank.

    Fable Legends Gameplay
Fable Legends will be launching its beta this autumn, developer Lionhead announced during Microsoft's E3 press conference today.

Halo The Master Chief Collection Trailer
Halo 5: Guardians was shown at E3 2014 during Microsoft?s conference, but not before Halo: The Master Chief Collection was revealed.
The stage reveal revealed that Master Chief has started questioning authority and searching for himself, but there?s also someone else looking for answers. That?s the other character seen in Halo 5?s promo art.

November 11 will see the Halo: The Master Chief collection launch on Xbox One to get you prepared. It includes Halos 1, 2, 3 and 4.

    Halo 5 Beta Trailer

    Halo 2 Anniversary Gameplay
Halo 2: Anniversary Edition and the Halo 5 beta will be upon us in November

    Inside Trailer (Xbox One)
Limbo stunned gamers back in 2010 with its monochrome graphics, haunting world, and devilish puzzles, and now the studio behind it is getting ready to do nearly all of that again with its second game, Inside. The game was unveiled in a trailer at Microsoft's E3 press conference and looks to be quite similar to Limbo: a slow-moving platformer that has players working past traps along their path. Inside appears to be just as visually stunning too. There are a few more colors now and the environment has a third dimension, but it still takes place in a very dark world, with sparing use of light and color, making it look just as eerie as the world of Limbo. Its creator, Playdead, isn't offering other details for now, but it says that the game will debut on the Xbox One during the first half of next year. There's no word on whether ? or when ? it'll hit other platforms after that.

    Ori Trailer (Xbox One)
Microsoft revealed a new game from Moon Studios, Ori and the Blind Forest with a touching trailer, showing the tale of a white fox-like creature descending from the heavens. Microsoft continues to bring more indie software to their systems with Ori and the Blind Forest coming as an exclusive to Xbox One Fall 2014.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Trailer
Confirming earlier reports, Rise of the Tomb Raider will make its debut during the 2015 holiday season.

    The Witcher 3 Gameplay Demo (E3 2014)
CD Projekt has unveiled new gameplay footage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at Microsoft's press conference.

    Phantom Dust Trailer
Ken Lobb took the stage at Microsoft?s E3 media briefing to reveal yet another big name game from the past brought back for the Xbox One. What was the game this time? Believe it or not, Phantom Dust.

    Scalebound Trailer (Xbox One)
Scalebound is the new IP from Bayonetta team Platinum Games, and it?s coming exclusively to Xbox One.

Platinum?s Hideki Kamiya announced the game on Microsoft?s stage, along with a reveal trailer, which we?ve added above. Stay tuned for more shortly.

    Crackdown 3 Trailer
Crackdown Xbox One has been revealed at long last, and it?s just called ?Crackdown.?
Former head of original Crackdown developer Realtime Worlds Dave Jones took to Microsoft?s stage to announce the sandbox title, which is said to benefit from the format-holders? bank of cloud servers.

The Division Gameplay Demo (E3 2014)
Microsoft has shown over a dozen games during the past hour, but one stands out as undeniable the most next-gen looking of the bunch. That game is Tom Clancy's The Division.

This new gameplay footage is entirely composed of multiplayer gameplay, with plenty of teamwork and coordination.
The Division is a third-person tactical shooter based around an online world.

actually pretty good for a thrid person game occasionally the camera angle may stuff up

if you have a console you should rent it if you are unsure if you want to buy it, each one has roughly around 20 or so hours of main story and some side stuff to do

plus it seems they are making some changes to the new one making combat a bit harder and changing how missions are done slightly.
