I visit my friends daily or at least 6 days a week. I go through phases. For a long time, I wasn't getting donuts. This event I have been getting at least 2 every time through my neighbors. Yesterday I got three.

I believe that it is totally random. I visit all of my neighbors (unless they've not cleared their SFs) daily. I had a streak where I was getting 1-2 donuts a day doing this. The past three days I've had none. Statistically, that's exactly what you'd predict to happen.

I visit every friend every day, well all right I missed one day this week, but usually I never miss it. Still I've got only three or four donuts since the whole donuts from neighbours system started. I guess I'm just not lucky enough. :(

I have been having very good luck collecting donuts while visiting neighbors. I have seen a number of comments on the forum claiming the donuts are totally random. I have a theory that's a little different, based on information I've gleaned from other players.

I believe that more donuts are awarded to those who visit their each of their neighbors regularly. For example, I find between 1 - 5 donuts every day. Typically I find two each day. My friend sometimes forgets to visit his neighbors, and he finds donuts considerably less often. The day after he forgets, typically he finds none. Once he is back on a regular schedule, the donuts start to appear again, with the numbers increasing after more days of regular visiting. I've confirmed this with a few other players with similar visiting patterns.

I'd appreciate feedback on this, if your experience is different.

I was going to wait until after this event to start a similar thread!

During the Easter event and this event my average seems to have gone up.
I'm wondering if there is a base donut drop rate with a multiplier tied to something the tapper is doing.
Maybe what you mentioned. Or maybe number of neighbor town loads since the visit reset.

For me what is different in these two events is the number of times visiting neighbors more than once since visit reset. At Easter it was to find baskets to drop eggs. In Stonecutters, I'm a lodge tapper. In both events, and in fact every day, I always finish by clicking 3 times in each neighbor unless they have nothing to click.

I have 100 friends. I averaged 2.5 donuts per day at Easter.

Your poll may need to change because it doesn't ask how many neighbors the person has! Or much better, change it to a click drop average per donut. Example: For my Easter that would be 300 clicks gave 2.5 donunts, which is 120 clicks per 1 donut.

But to do this statistically, we need to isolate the behaviors we think might affect the rate and collect a LOT of data. And we need a control group.

Maybe when there is a lull, because right now people are busy with the event!

I have still never won a donut in neighbors towns.

I also didn't get any free donuts with the Stonecutter update.

Last week I had two days where I got 5, in a row! I also have days I get 0, in a row. 300 clicks every day. I have not been keeping track of town load counts while lodge tapping.

My wife kids me that I've got her donuts, because she regularly gets 0 with 300 clicks every day.

But she does not lodge tap like I do, so she does less town loading.

Man it would be great if there was an option to set so that decorations would not load on friend visits! It would speed things up, and it would help those with crashing issues.

Got three today. I think they are just random. I visit my neighbors everyday and sometimes get zero.
