Haven't broke down and bought any donuts/scratchcards yet. I'm up to 202 though and saving for Barney. Hoping if i keep getting them from friends visits and maybe some bonus boxes (once i have all the prizes) then i'll put a dent in those last 48 that i need. I'm tempted by the alien stonecutter, i got Frinks costume as i think 12 donuts is a fair price and easy enough to earn back. Hibberts costume price is stupid though.

I started the last week of the valentines update so i'm still saving. 135 donuts right now.

I did get lucky and got Maude for 25 before EA noticed they messed up the price.

I was lucky enough to be a player who suffered a known glitch of last years v-day event that left many of us left locked out and once regained access we received thousands of free donuts.
I have bought a couple of the scratchies and a small donut purchase once when they were on sale but not normally.
I am currently saving for Luann and have 136 donuts.
I have most of the basic premium stuff and also stuff from past events that are premium now.

I'm definitely another one. I bought the all-seeing eye, Number 51, the abandoned store, the skins for Hibbert and Frink, and I'm close to earning enough for Jasper and the community center. I got #51 since I had 104 donuts, now to 19 but I'm really wanting the other items so most likely will buy donuts before the event ends.

I've only bought one gold scratcher and that was when they first came out. I've been able to get cool stuff by just saving donuts they give you. So far I've bought Otto, Hans, Bumbleman and Kearny. I'm saving them up again, I'm thinking I might go with the senior center but I'm not sure yet. I have a ways to go.

I may get another gold scratcher but the first I did I didn't do so well so that's why I haven't gotten another one

Got Father's day gift of donunts! Going to get Frink, his building, his skin. Haven't made up my mind what else.
My donut addiction may just be starting.

I got Otto, the Aztec, and the Puppy Dogs and Fireworks store solely from being freemium. When Amazon had their coin deal I got Barney and Jasper. With this event I broke down and bought some donuts for the All Seeing Eye. I have a lot of donuts leftover and am still unsure of how I'll spend them (maybe on Luann).

I bought donuts in Gil's last sale. I've bought Barney and the bowl-o-rama, Brandine, Lincoln and his cabin on president's day, and a couple of other items. I'm saving right now to buy Frink and his lab. Only 6 donuts shy right now, and when I buy that, it will be with nearly all free donuts.

I'm considering purchasing a Homer Buddha with the small chance of being awarded Fink's lab. Afterwards, I'm gonna purchase Frink's stonecutter robe. Hope that plan is gonna work...

Apart from that, I spent collected doughnuts on the abandoned store.

I never spent one cent of real money on the game. Things I purchased in the past from collected doughnuts: SVT, Tyre yard, Brandine, Mk II egg generator, jet engine bike, Bumble Bee Man (mainly for stacking on Channel 8 back then), some Thanksgiving balloons.

On the list to get next: Simpsons go to Hell float, School bus (should keep me busy some time...)

I advise against this plan. Homer Buddhas are at least 99% junk.

As a freemium player (not even a scratcher) I have spent the donuts I've earned since starting the game during the Christmas event in December 2013 on:

[li]Maude and the Gypsy Fortune Teller Shop. I couldn't pass them up for only 25 donuts.[/li][li]An egg generator of my uncommon color during the Easter event. Helped me get the Blocko Store.[/li][li]One of the golden egg deals during Easter to allow me to open one more golden box (donuts well wasted)[/li][li]The All-Seeing Eye.[/li] Now I'm going back to saving for the Cracker Factory. It's gonna take a while, because I am down to 67 donuts.

Have not given in. The donuts i've spent are the one's i've gathered since i've started playing during the 2013 halloween event. And thanks to the Amazon coins, i got 600 donuts. So technically still have no dropped any real money of my own in the game.

Bought: Squeaky Voice Teen, Simpsons Go To Hell Float, Bumble Bee Guy, Abandoned Store, #51, All Seeing Eye, Frink's Lab, Krustylu, Kearny.

+1 I've wasted so much in them and the odds are low. Also the prizes have never been updated so you can't get the new stuff from them

I am also tempted by the alien. Since I started around Halloween last year, I have only spent money on one golden scratch r, which then caused my game to crash so bad I had to re-install, and I never got to use the ticket. So I got kinda scared off, and reinforced my freemium ways.

But the dark side looks so enticing.
