I hope Disney/Marvel never gives EA the rights to make this kind of game. I really like the idea. I just rather it be made by someone else. Definitely I would play it, either way.

It's been done already with the Lego Marvel Superheroes game made by Travelers Tales, but to get it close to what you are probably thinking it would have to be a Rock Star game- open sandbox, DLC laden, main set of quests and dozens of side quests etc. It's their forte, they are the kings of open world sandbox play.
