From how I read it the OP isn't a hugely knowledgeable follower of the sport (no offence) so it's a fair assumption that they are two decent teams.

I'd love to see an ice hockey match. My next holiday is east coast US so Id love to head into Canada to catch a match

Well probably. USA hasn't won since the 90's. I think it has been once or twice in the semifinals on the 21st century.

But as a proud Finn I hate when people underestimate Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, CR etc. because of Canada, Russia and USA.

Finland would've won the world championships if the game wouldn't have been completely rigged.

By "best", I didn't mean the top two ice hockey nations in the world. I meant the two I like best. Didn't mean to start a war

Haha. I'd be just as happy if Finland or any of the other nations that were named, come down here and play. In fact, they should all come down :D

Canada gets a lot of praise for hockey, I think, because it's our winter national sport. Our summer national sport is lacrosse which doesn't seem to get as much notice.

It is also Finland's national Sport all year round.

Canadians sure do like their ice hockey. The crowd yesterday was basically full of Canadian supporters. Not many American supporters. I was sitting with Canadians. Made me want to go there even more.

I use to have a hockey game for original Nintendo I'd always play as Finland or Canada best teams in the game.

    Was it a women's game?

If it wasn't then thats not so unusual, but it's one of those things that happen very often but are always as good.

Kind of like hamburgers or a really good song.

    Nope.

Less frequently, but yes. Can't link here, but google USA Canada women's hockey fight, and enjoy.
