Another one bites the dust, I almost left before but the StoneCutter event renewed my interest. Perhaps you should hang on another week or 2 to see if another good update arrives?
Sorry to hear that...
You'll be missing in the forum. Many thanks for your great ideas and threads.
Hope we will see you back... Good luck, Dave.
Sorry to hear that Dave, I won't delete you for a while though in case you change your mind :-)
Same here People always return to the game
Ahh, i doubt i'll be returning to the game for a long time, i'm actually very alienated from it because of the two things i mentioned in my original post (no need to repeat myself about those, i'm sure everyone is aware how i feel about EA and their you know what with the what what now).
I plan on sticking around the forum though... too many great people i've gotten to know on here who have become good forum friends, who knows, might still be a few ideas in the pipeline from me for the game

Is a shame it has come to this but the fact you are sticking around the forum is good tho  Glad you still going to write some more ideas for the game
I get where you're coming from. My game doesn't crash but I was getting annoyed that I had to keep rearranging crap everytime something new or big came out. So this 53 yr old had a tantrum. Deleted all my friends. I do believe you were one of them. Blew my town up lol. Felt better. Then I slowly started rebuilding. I'm ok for now lol
I think this is a classic "nostalgia" case here. After a while, you start to see flaws (nothing is perfect) and then you constantly compare it to what it used to be, even if it's not worse.
The crashes are annoying, but I'm sure that back then there were crashes too. I remember experiencing crashes a lot at the beginning of this year. I doubt that EA does it on purpose.
As for the prices, were premium stuff cheaper a year ago?
It's just that human nature makes us constantly focus on the negative aspects of things.
I dare anybody to find a company, game, tv show, or any other product which has never been accused of going "downhill".
The Simpsons, South Park, Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Netflix, How I Met Your Mother, Dexter, etc. etc. etc. they all have/had their "going downhill" accusations.
The accusations rarely hold any truth though. Most of the times, it is because we see all these changes and then attach them to negativity and we paint this pink picture of the past where everything was great and fine. When in reality, back then it was just as frustrating as it is now. It is just that people forget the EMOTIONS they had back then. They quickly forget the emotions that they went through when all the problems in the past occurred and now that there are new problems, suddenly the old problems don't seem so bad because we forgot how we felt back then.
Look at South Park. Back when season 15 was released, people were saying that the show started going downhill since season 10. Then season 16 got released, and people talk about how the show was good until season 11.
Afterwards we got season 17, and suddenly season 12 became a "classic" too.
Now, people are saying that season 17 sucks and South Park is going downhill. In 10 years? People will say that season 17 is a part of the "golden ages".
Same is with TSTO. In 3 years, we will hear people say how this game is going downhill and how things were so much better back in 2014.
Thats in fact i all games like you said, Battlefield Bad Company 2 was for me the best BF, why? Because its nostalgie, in the beginning nobody like BF3 now its a classic and people hate BF 4

I think South Park has trended generally upwards since its release. Season fifteen was mostly brilliant (even if it did contain my single least favorite episode) and the main complaint I have about season seventeen was that it was too short.
Yes, there are plenty of people who think I'm insanely wrong and that some of the best South Park episodes actually ruined it forever, but it is possible to enjoy something as it comes, and also to see flaws as they come.

I am sure in 2017 we'll also be looking back fondly on this thread with nostalgia...forum member dramatically announces his departure from the game, then shows back up on the forum the very next day to continue pointing out the same issues with the game that caused him to quit, but apparently not really quit at all. Ah, the good old days...
The crashing issues are NOT an EA problem. If it was it would be happening to EVERY player. It is a device problem.
It boils down to device choice. If you want to play on a device for which the game WAS NOT DEVELOPED FOR (i.e. android devices) issues will happen.
...

Blow it up. See if it helps

Ooh, a wee tantrum, that's an interesting idea... something i may have to do if EA think it's cool to just resize every building messing up the entire look on a town that was created with a lot of time and effort (yes, Helter Shelter should never have been resized, it was fine as it was - another gripe i have with the game that is) :-)

Ok people I have 1 newly opened spot for a new tourest to join my towns friends list.
During your break from the game dave maybe look into changing your name that might help your self esteem.
I know it has to to frustrating to hear the name dave over the PA system to go to the red courtesy phone and 5 other people with the same first name show up. Don't know why parents still do that to their kids but hopefuly you can fix it. When and if you do stop by the Manor and I'll put you in charge of my feeding my hounds.
