Okay, I have been visiting towns, and have noticed something peculiar. Gulp and Brow and Krusty Burger, have drive thru windows, but in so may towns, people place those buildings so that the drive-thru is virtually obstructed.
If there is a feature added that has cars, or a quest... How would you access the drive thru?
Or am I just being too picky of a city planner?
All day drive thru in my town. I'm a lvl 24 with two krusty **** and three gulp and blows.
All of them are 100% drive thru accessible, via roads not just pavement. I also take into account traffic flow and possible back ups of said drive thru's and city plan accordingly.
I'm going to take a look round the forums and figure out how to post pics. My town is rather epic IMO.
I took note of that and designed them accordingly, especially the Krusty Burger. The Gulp'n'Blow is slightly more pedestrianised but it's still possible to drive past the way I have it set up so I think it counts. It's all about the little details.
Yep, me too...I have both of them sitting next to a street so (hypothetical) cars can drive right on up. I thought it would be sad to ignore those details! I don't fault anyone for designing otherwise, but props to people who do take it into account!

I see I need to be a lvl 2 to post a pic??? I think... Can't seem to find where my lvl is displayed. I'm sure it's some place obvious, no doubt right in front of my face.

No idea where you check your forum level, but you'll get an email from the powers that be when you are promoted (it happened automatically for me, didn't have to email anyone like others on here). Also, when you get to level 2, posts you quote from will be nicely offset in the blue box and you won't see any HTML coding, so that an easy way to tell!
I like to leave some space between the drive through area and the street and put down pavement. some times I'll also put a line of rectangle shrubs or wired fence (for my industrial area places) running along side it like you would normally see at a drive through.

Gulp'N'Blow's drive thru has been utilized. Krusty Burger's, however... I don't know what to do with that one yet. I'm in the middle of a massive land acquisition and complete overhaul of my town though. I'll try and use it somehow. Right now it's a walk-up window.

Just don't feel right. I've been watching this show since I was 10. Sonny is right. It's all about the details.
I'm pretty minimal with my roads because I don't want to chase the characters everywhere, but I sectioned off the drive thru areas with brown fence. It also keeps Comic Book Guy and Wiggum from wandering into traffic :P
