Just in advance (Android player) How much land do you need to build the convention centers?
None. It opens up in the same place that the pyramid was.
Though you may as well try and get some land free since there are a few buildings you get during the event, may as well clear the land now whilst you can't do any event stuff
Just got a plutonium from Brian. Best day ever. 2 more to go.
Question for premium players: do the Blam!-producing items make a difference? I'm considering the 400clam Big Truck as I'd like to get as close to Takei as I can.

That, at least, is good. Being 100% freemium with only one worker and no land left to open except that which I can't afford is not going to be beneficial to anything in the update that requires TOO much space.

It'll certainly make a difference. Whether or not it will be enough for Takei is hard to say. If you go up to the Sommelier, 250 Blam every 8 hours, you should be able to get a minimum of 500 Blam per day. In 40 days that would give you an extra 20,000. That means you would still need 80,000.

yeah, I spent a good chunk of the afternoon doing the math. It looks like at 50,000 Blam you get a second hotel, which spawns nerds and should add a bit to the daily total. I don't want to throw a ton of $$$ at FG:QFS, so I may not get to live my Takei dream.
For 47 days, you have to average around 2700 Blams a day..in other words we're all screwed lol
Yeah, though it's not linear since unlocked celebs earn blams and at the same rate as captain hammered, increasing your earning power. Plus the costumes you unlock to increase earning rates (and presumably when Lois gets her costume she will start earning blam too?). Then you have the extra Q building and also the mysterious factory which spawns nerds and mutant Stewies (assuming they earn blam). Plus you have the potential for them to do a Jell-O shots style thing near the end again where you can rack up a lot of blam in a short space of time. All in all, very difficult to tell what sort of rate you need to be earning blam at, and I don't think anyone is surprised that TinyCo have almost definitely done this on purpose to encourage you to buy more premium stuff.

Yeah all that you said was a complete waste. I'm not talking about who earns what. I'm just saying in order to get 100k you have to average that amount. Doesnt matter how the hell you get it. Its just the average you have to meet each day.

Yes but my point was, we don't really have a clue how achievable an average of 2700 is at this point because our earning potential is currently a lot less than it will be towards the end of the event.
1 banana peel away from pb&j Brian then it's peanut butter jelly time!! Got a lot to go for stewie and halfway on sugar until I get carter. Saving blam for a few of the more expensive blam buildings. Past 5000 at the moment.
Finally unlocked Patrick Stewart and got another clam from nerds!
Need 3 more sugar for Carter then 12 blueprints and 7 plutonium for Stewie, though they aren't a priority atm. Also stockpiling my Blam in anticipation of an update later this week.

I need 2 bananas peels since Thursday. I finally got one but still waiting on the other. I am very close to giving in and using clams. I had an easier time getting plutonium than I am getting banana peels.
I've just realised I can get 20 blam from Bonnie & joe doing their combined job as opposed to 8 from Bonnie and none from joe doing their 8 hour jobs seperatley. This wasn't on family guy addicts when I looked earlier in the event...
