I did, in fact, doom myself. Huzzah. I have received a ferris wheel. :?

Grr...now what to get with my donuts....hoard or buy? Stupid decisions.

I took advantage of this donut sale since we all have been waiting for a sale. I have purchased the Dumpsterful of donuts for $35. I had gotten 576 donuts and one premium mystery box. The premium mystery box was useless because it gave me a ferris wheel since I have all of the other stuff in the game. Its been boring lately so hopefully new content is coming soon.

I don't own all of the buildings listed, and I got a Ferris Wheel, which I already own.

Edit: Contaced EA through chat. They couldn't exchange the Ferris Wheel for another building, but they gave me 15 donuts for my trouble. I thought that was very good of them.

I'm in the middle of chatting with them...except theyre being reaaally slow about responding. Seriously if I had known I'd get a duplicate or there were odds of getting one...I'd have never done it. I should have thought this through or read the forums to see if people were getting duplicates. Lard Lad isn't even really that worth it, the pay out isn't that great.

Spur of the moment purchase yesterday, got the lovely Mount Carlmore :(

That is what I am afraid of. Getting either Mt. Carlmore, or the Fireworks, Puppy, and Candy store. I already have a few of the premium items that are available. I would not want to get Mt. Carlmore, or a Ferris Wheel, but I would be happy withe Open Air Stage. I just dont know if I like these odds. So I haven't bought, yet. . .

    I dont have:

    Ferris Wheel
    Planet Hype
    Mount Carlmore
    Fireworks Candy and Puppy Dogs
    Open Air Stage
    Springfield Museum of Natural History

I guess my odds were really bad? :/

I dont know if you had bad odds or not. I guess that Spanser is correct when he said that all items have an equal chance. But it would be better if the Ferris Wheel and Lard Lard only won when you had those other 11 items.

I have 4 of the 13 items, Duff Stadium, Try N Save, Aztec Theater, and The Museum of Natural History. I am waiting to buy, but will probably end of cracking before its over.

I already owned all of the buildings except Mt Carlmore and the Museum. Got another Lard Lad Donuts from the mystery box. Sucks.

Please let us know how it goes. My chat with EA was not completed as I was on the wrong queue so I need to redo it on the right link. In the mean time I'd like to know if you're successful. Its literally NOT worth it if there is a chance of getting a duplicate! Its like baiting you with the promise of a building but you get a duplicate. Thanks guys.

yup..makes no sense to me

i'd even rather just buy a boatload right now for the full price

    $100 for 2400 donuts
    $35 for 576 donuts

simple maths indicates that this is just not a good Gil deal :?

You're certainly correct that the $100 offer is the most value, however for people who can't afford to spend $100 at one time this one is pretty decent. The true value is between 636 and 736 donuts depending on which building you get.

it probably even works out cheaper for these people to whack $100 on their credit card and pay back the interest over 2 years :D

I got the Natural History Museum (100 donuts), so am quite pleased with the result myself! Fortunately I didn't already own a Ferris Wheel or any buildings on the Lard Lad list, so was guaranteed to get a non-duplicate item.

    I miss spanser posts.

Well I had live chat with EA and it seems nobody will get a exchange because the "prize" is randomly generated. Thats freaking special. :x And no, I didn't get 15 donuts like the other poster in this thread did. It would be so nice if you could actually SELECT the building you want instead of chance. Is that honestly too much to ask? THEYRE GIVING YOU A FREE BUILDING!!

I didn't bite on this deal because it wasn't near enough of a "deal" to entice me. It should have been so much better.

Not sure why people are upset after buying it though. Basically it is donuts @ the normal $50 lvl conversion plus a building of EA's choice for 24 donuts. Still a small savings even if EA is using the wheel of misfortune to pick your building.

Kind of felt like Easter - hopeful to get 1 of the 2 or 3 coveted buildings. But not upset at EA - just myself for falling into gambling mode again.
