It HAD been doing it to me, too. I just tapped the Hell out of it, as rapidly as I could, until it went away. Seems to be (hopefully!) gone from my game now.

I hope so, too, for ALL our sakes! I've been trying to bounce into my game at least once an hour, so once I got that garbage, I got it about four times in a 20 minute span, just trying to fix it. It's like the cartoon with the frustrated guy at the computer, clicking the mouse rapidly. The computer responds with "463 clicks have resolved the issue".

You got smacked with it, too, huh? It was funny after the first time I cleared it, because I was tapping so rapidly, I didn't even realize I had cleared it until after I had tapped a building, a well-trimmed hedge, and a character.

Have you considered contacting TinyCo., or is it not worth it? I spent my first serious money on this game today, so I would be hard pressed to let my game go now. *Update for anyone who's still experiencing the error* Fond hope too quickly banished. My town is STILL dorking up. I can still get in by tapping the message a billion times, have not yet tried launching through the Store, as was previously suggested. If this nonsense keeps up, I will most certainly try it.

Did you have your game linked to facebook, google, or a user name? I did the same thing as you My game was linked to both google and facebook. When I tried to reload my google account it froze and rewrote over it, but I was able to load it through my facebook account.
How the hell am I supposed to have quagmire chase bushy tail if giant mutant stewie is blocking it!!???! I've tried spraying him with pesticide but it still won't let me do it.

If you had it connected to an account and it starts again, you have to play from scratch until after the quest where you use Chris as an antenna. Then the icon to get to the account page appears and you can use it to sign back into your own game. (Sign in as a different user). I think it is silly you first have to play through the first quest lines but that's how it is.
I had to uninstall and reinstall, then you play through a new game right until you get the Chris/antenna task (I didn't do the task). That's the earliest it let me access the options menu. Just sign in with your account and you should be good.
Irritated about all the blam/drops I missed, but at least I didn't lose anything.
However, they took some event items off the menu. S&M&More is no longer available, I noticed.

I did exactly that but now my legal 16 or 17 game es lost I was far into the event and now everything is gone I wrote to tinyco but I'm not expecting much if nothing works I'm uninstaling permanently. Its not as fun asnsimpsons anyway
