I'm pretty sure Homer has always had that. It's one of the first tasks he's told to do. Not sure if it's always been 2 hours though, I think his only 2 hour one was at the restaurant before.

I want one of those straight metal slides in the game. I liked those, too. (Do playgrounds even still have those, or is it all plastic now?)

Actually, I was looking for a laugh, not an apology. OK, more like a mild chuckle: it sounded like were on edge from chasing down a troll in numerous other threads! I'd try to tell a funny story now about straight metal slides, but the memory that sticks out in my mind is the time I accidentally used one as a diving board. Falling on one's head is not as funny as it sounds.
This looked vaguely familiar, so I did a search to see when this changed. Turns out this task was added with the release of level 42. Here's that thread:

That's right, Homer got his new 6hr task at level 42, same as Abu.
But on 4th of July 2014 update, Homer's and Abu's 6hr task relax on the brown house have both been changed to a 2hr task. This means that Homer still has his 6hr pool task, however Apu now has no 6hr task. also, Homer now has two 2hr tasks.
