I am currently going through my neighbors and have discovered that nearly a third of my neighbors havent even updated to this event.
So lots of them are getting dumped. I'm also dumping neighbors who are putting no effort into their town. Just houses and buildings all over. No roads or anything. I hate that. :x
Are you all seeing a lot of inactivity with your neighbors? I wonder if the long time between updates caused that.
You're welcome to add an old time player like me if ya have room now. Haha. This just goes to show how many people have lost interest in the game and moved over to clash of clans. Hence this event update lol. I admit, I've been hooked on clash since december, but still make time for my first true addictive game love. :twisted:
I play all day every day ( except when at work in eves). I take all events very serious. I am cleaning up my friend list and would love serious forum members to add to my list.
I went thru my neighbours and deleted anyone who hadn't played in more than a week, but loads who have been playing today haven't updated, I don't know why!?

So it's not just me? Tapped Out losing audience shares to Family Guy and Clash of Clans? Hey it's ok , i'll be monitoring neighbors who tap and excising those who do not visit or update , why should I hold on to deadbeats for sentimentality , especially going to weeid out those new neighbors who aren't updating/participating after I added them during StoneCutters and made it clear they need to be active in some capacity during every event.
Most of my friend list are from this current event, so many have updated already. I do have one who nuked their town ages ago, but doesn't seem like they ever updated again. And another who has yet to update their town, and I think has stopped playing.
Will probably add more people, I am finding this event quite fun, I shamelessly used donuts even thought it wasn't necessary (I really want Wizard Marge, I hope she actually throws fireballs around haha).
As for the state of my town, I apologize to anyone who looks upon it, yes it's a mess, yes there is only one road. First, I didn't think I was adding anyone, secondly I am playing from my Iphone, and the last time I tried to rearrange my town, the game kept crashing (But I am starting to think it's linked to a couple of items, my town hasn't crashed in a while until I put them back and this event started). I might try to organize it for this event, but requires buying more land as there isn't much space to move everything.

I HAVE noticed this.
But I'm keeping them for now. If they update later, they will be weaker castles to attack quicker. I'm seeing how the fortified castles are increasing time needed to destroy them. At least it's easy to see them as their gold counter is at zero on the friend list
In the USA many schools and colleges start classes Monday - a busy time to prepare for, or a last-minute vacation right now for both parents and students. Plus our big Labor Day Weekend is coming up. I myself got back from a 3-week vacation last week. This event doesn't really Depend on neighbors, so what's the rush? I'm also looking forward to those come-lately neighbors it will be easy to defeat (I hope).
I was just noticing this same thing...that I have quite a few neighbors who haven't updated. So odd! I prefer to keep people around who are active and who visit regularly, so I may need to do some clearing over the next few days if people don't get with the game.
As it is right now, I have room already if anyone is looking. I don't have enough nerds to drop 5 at every town (who does?) but I'm trying to spread them around as best I can.
it doesnt mean anything either way, games like this have a huge turn over player wise, not to mention it's the summer so people are on holiday.
I get that people take a vacation, but do they leave their phones at home when they do? It may just be the way I play, but I would at least check in once a day to send my characters on 24 hour tasks.
Not saying that everyone should be tied to this game daily. But it doesnt take long to check in.
