Lag and Freezing issues in my undefended town

Yep, I get the same. Usually, I have little to complain about given the horror stories I've read on this board, but my devices are having trouble with the militarized zone that is now my town.

So that is why EA has a defense mode for the cheaters; defense from lag and crashes.

I have this issue with two of my towns, one played on the iPhone4 & other on iPad2, if the town has been heavily attacked over night then then game is massively laggy and virtually impossible to move around but if i use a "cheater" then 4secs after the game is fine again! I dont have this issue with my iPhone5 tho and i play all 3games the same way

yes I am having the same lag issues...my game is laggy beyond belief

the reason for the lag is because of all the extra characters (nerds)...so it makes me wonder what will happen to the game once they introduce another 15 proper characters

unfortunately you have to defend a few buildings to get rid of some nerds until the lag goes down

^ this, once a few or nearly all buildings are defended the game tends to go back to normal (ish)

I'm having trouble placing my nerds. I get booted out about every 20 nerds or so I place. Really sucks. Sometimes I just say screw it and place them later.

Yep. And scrolling around looking for some buildings to attack makes the problem worse because you get more NPCs to animate. I wish everyone would put their castles, farms, and flanders together, leave flanders alone, and then we'd be guaranteed to only have to scroll into the farm. That's because if the castles are under attack, flanders being not attacked determines the next landing zone attempt.

My game is really laggy too, but it doesn't seem to make a difference whether there are nerds or not.

Same here. Super laggy since I quit defending. Sometimes I can get through placing nerds in randoms without crashing, but the game nearly always freezes when I go to do regular neighbor visits. I'm missing out on donuts!!!

I have pockets of houses all throughout my SF so I leave Flanders destroyed. I've mixed blue houses into the pockets which I believe is next in line after Flanders.

Out of the hundred or so houses I have out I only had one not under attack or destoryed this morning. It's nice that people visit and attack but since I raised my defense time into the 20s they would do much better attacking elsewhere.
