Seriously?

Prev1
So if I'm reading this right and correct me if I'm wrong please.

You want EA to give you 696 donuts that you previously used or had in your old account and apply them into your new account?

If that's it, then it's not gonna happen. You can always go back to your old town and those donuts or the items you bought with them will still be there.

It's like you've never played a freemium game before. Any game for that matter.

If the old town was damaged or missing, they should return the donuts in a new account, but if you can access your old account then I doubt you'll get your donuts.

Was there a reason you didn't use your old account? Did you not save your old town?

I lost my town and although donuts are consumable I purchased buildings and characters with those donuts.

Maybe I am crazy, but troubleshooting every step and having no luck with customer support to recover it..

They have a ticket pending to a "specialist" So i guess we will see.

All the workers seem outsourced but then again I don't feel the need to have flawless grammar on a forum :)

    Thanks for the responses.

I used that and origin and able to login. I still can see all of my friends but started out with a level 1 springfield.

I always use the same username and email as well. Also same apple id since inception (iphone 3g)

If you didn't make an account and the game was just saved on your old phone, then CS can't do anything. While I'll agree that CS for this company is annoying - I had to figure out my own bug from three months ago, never getting a response back from them - it would be easier for people to fraud the company if they gave you back your donuts. This way, people can't lie and say that they lost their towns and essentially get free items. I'm not saying you did, but I understand why they can't refund you.

If, however, you had an EA account, then ask for an account restore. Say nothing of the donuts and ask for them to fix your game. If they're still gone then, then you can petition, but the donuts should be there if they can restore the town.

I just figured that had the capability with my invoices scanned in from apple that shows my email on there to originate it to my origin id email which matches it and be able to verify it as if i was calling a bank asking who took money out of my account on july 11 2013 .... (ie)

My first thought was have you logged in to origin on your phone, but I think you answered that. I do recall something a year or so ago where before an update anyone who was playing without logging in to origin was told by ea to log in to origin and synch their game or it would be lost after the update. If you played your game without logging in to origin when you started it's likely gone when you started again. If this is the case and you have receipts, check your country's consumer laws if you have trouble as they will owe you the donuts if it's their fault the springfield is gone. Have you tried opening it on your old phone or did you get rid of it? Were you using a different origin login when you played previously?

I wish I'd known this a year ago. My bf didn't play his town for a few months and I think I picked up playing it "for him" around this time last year. When I did, all his unique stuff like the CBH and Springfield Falls was gone and I had to start over (can't remember if it was level 1 or not, probably it was). Pretty crappy. It was definitely a freemium town, though, so at least there was no money lost.

As someone who recently had to contact EA customer service, let me just say good luck. Took me 4 days of numerous phone calls, emails, and live chats to finally be connected to someone that understood my problem. Then it took another hour or so of shameless begging and pleading for them to refund me for an accidental purchase. Hope you at least are able to get an answer soon.

I sold that phone after factory resetting it. I bet that did happen and feel I should either get my springfield back or donuts. I never used a different origin login.
The funny thing was 1 ea rep said a specialist needed my mayhem id which i provided and would refund donuts but then went afk or so it seems.

The next rep hardly spoke clear english and said I would get a email in 7-10 days and then a supervisor said he escalated to the the tapped out supervisor specialist and would email me.

I will give it a few days and definitely let yall know the outcome.
If I didn't buy any donuts I would just continue my current springfield as it isn't so bad starting over but I can't even consider buying another donut until this is resolved.

All things considered, I feel everything is in my favor. Surprised there is not a class action lawsuit on this. LOL

Then again $40-60 is not a ton of money but it is more the principal behind it.
Say you bought a video game from EA for $60 and 1 year later you could not play it for some faulty reason. Wouldn't you like a refund or another copy of the game?

The tough thing is they don't know if it is smart to refund the donuts but then again I have all proof showing i did in fact purchase them whether i bought buildings, characters or expedited quests; that should not matter.
