• I'm one of the suckers that gives them money. But I agree that they shouldn't just be handed out. Making money off of donuts is the incentive for EA to continue to make the game fun. No profit = no effort. That's why they keep making great updates and more content.

• My impression from reading tons of these threads is; there is no one that will help. Try erasing your app completely then re-install it and log in with your origin ID. If that doesn't work, you're screwed. Sorry.

• Did you try logging completely out of the game (and closing it in the multi-task bar) then logging back in? That has worked for me in the past when I get "stuck."

• Thanks for the info, I was cranky that I couldn't finish the quest after buying Santa's Village. I also feel better after reading about all the people that use donuts. Sometimes I have guilt about spending money on a game, but at least I'm not the only one. :) Merry Christmas.
