I think it depends on display size/resolution and textures. They assume that if you have a display bigger than X, you need bigger textures, maybe because they think it's a tablet. I would add zoom problem. I can see a wider area while all zoomed out on my 4.7' device then on my 5.15' and 5.5' devices.

I agree with you. Personally I also think that there are too many events and so just few days after the end of one a new one is starting. Making them shorter should relieve that feeling.
