Futurama seems to launch their new events around 11pm GMT which mirrors when events tend to go live on the app store. So there must be a reason It's actually been closer to 10/11pm lately.

Usually i'd agree, but I would be surprised if EA would break their pattern of New stuff starting the same day as old stuff ends. Especially since these sales seemed like a stalling tactic.

It's just filler. Clearly they're behind on development or are stalling so the timetable will for with future events like Halloween and Christmas.
