If they made a system where you could update to your new email without needing access to your old one, the problem would be solved. Surely that would be possible?

Yes, but no correspondence ☹️

The only update I care about is one that will fix the email verification issue! 😡

I wonder, with towns that are now inactive because of players like us that can no longer log in, will they ever be permanently deleted by EA if a certain timeframe elapses without the town being logged into? That would have to border on being illegal wouldn’t it it, especially considering real money has been spent through…

It was good while it lasted!

Same here! 🤣 But the fact remains that over the years I have spent hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours on this game - and it HAS given me enjoyment (as well as frustration!). It will just be so strange without seeing homer on my app screen. I’ll give it a little more time though. Plenty of space will free up too I…

Should I finally bite the bullet and delete this app finally? It’s been over 2 weeks without me being able to log into Simpsons tapped out. I’d played it every day since I first downloaded it in 2012 until this new verification code has now prevented me getting in. My phone battery now lasts longer and I have more time now…

Moral of story: those who still have access to their games, consider yourself lucky. Yes, it can probably be the fault of the players that lost their account because we did not keep our email address up to date - but there was no warning about this happening and no way you can update your email address without having…

Sounds like a lot of hassle ☹️ I don’t know the phone number off hand but I’m sure it won’t be free. If a new update lets me get back into my town again with my old email address I’ll keep playing, otherwise I’ve conceded that my tapped out days are over. My battery lasts longer and I’m spending a little more time…

You wonder, was there really that bigger problem the way things were running before? EA might have done this to stop the fake accounts that were cheating, but I’d say the vast majority of now inaccessible accounts were from honest players like you and I. If we do ever get access to our towns again, at least a whole event…

And it’s all providing that EA actually responds to your message asking for assistance via the help desk in the first place…

That’s good to hear 👍

Just wondering, will EA eventually delete towns off the server after a period of inactivity - or in my case, not being able to log in anymore? I wonder what this timeframe is? Such a shame so many towns may have been lost because of this… ☹️

Well, after 10 years (or was it 9? 🤣) of daily tapped out play - it’s now been nearly a week since I’ve been unable to play due to being kicked out of the game by EA. I’m still unable to log back in due to not being able to receive a code from my now expired email address from 2012. I thought the new update may have…

I’ll relieve my stress by doing some tapping in Simpsons tapped out… …Oh wait! ☹️ 🤣
-
OK - I stand corrected!

2012 to 2022 will indeed be 10 completed years, but in 2022 we will be in the 11th year of tapped out. 2012 to 2021 is indeed only 9 completed years, but we are currently in the 10th year. In other words, Simpsons tapped out is currently 9 years old, but we are currently in its 10th year. A bit confusing, but we are…

I don’t think I can bring myself to that - yet. After all these years it’s strange not to be able to tap my Springfield again today. Oh well. Sorry that you and your wife are in the same boat ☹️

When you are 1, you are in the 2nd year of your life - so 2021 is the 10th year of Simpsons tapped out. You can argue both ways - mathematics can get a bit confusing at times! 🤣
Howdy, Stranger!
